I decided to pull the trigger

Applied for post 1 #2 $2500 50k Visa and post 1 #4 $5000 50k AMEX

got to step 3 on both, trying to call reconsideration line 800-763-9795 and I'm on hold. Will update with what happens

I had the 75k version of this card approved July 2011, putting me at the 18 month mark. Had the 75k BIZ card and closed that like 6 months ago-ish.

EDIT #1: Just got approved for the VISA ... apparently I forgot to click the box to get my app ID # for the AMEX, not going to ask about it on this phone call.. will call back

and the # i called was 888-201-4523

EDit #2: got declined for the AMEX .. lady said I had 3 other apps pending, turns out 2 of them where for the hilton cards I got in Sept 2012. Dunno why those mattered. When I asked why, she said 'because you just called and got approved for the Visa, so you can't have multiple cards"

Will try to recon once i get the letter, but won't hold my breath.

I guess one is better than none. Now I wait for a BIZ card in 90 days for my next AoR
