Impacts of 13 Nov 2015 Paris Events on CDG (AA edition)

Media reports that AA is delaying remaining flights to Paris this evening in response to today's attacks.

"Currently Charles de Gaulle International Airport is open, however, we are holding our remaining departures this evening to Paris until we have additional information," American Airlines spokesman Joshua Freed said.
CDG remains open, but there seems some confusion as to what transport in Paris is still running.

It was reported that France has closed its borders...I don't see flights going to France any time soon.

Borders are closed. I imagine all flights will be diverted/canceled/severely delayed. Disgusting. Just awful.

American’s flight attendants union said that all of the flight crews in Paris on layovers are currently accounted for and are safe at their hotels.

“Crews in Paris are advised to remain at their hotel until further advised, maintain a low profile, stay in contact with their fellow crewmembers and remain vigilant. It is unknown to what degree this will impact flights in and out of Paris,” the Association of Professional Flight Attendants said in a hotline message to members on Friday evening.

Media reports that they're tightening border controls, not closing the borders. http://bnonews.com/news/index.php/tags/tag/id/1039/

Border controls are being implemented, it does not appear that borders are being closed (at least at airports).

The President of the Republic has decided to immediately institute systematic controls at entry points into the country, the French government said in a statement. These checks are to be carried out at road crossings, rail, sea, and airports. Airports continue to operate....

AA 44 JFK-CDG is on its way. Departed a little after 5pm. Flight 120 is delayed a half hour, however it may be due to the wind here in NYC.

According to the news, int'l airports and train stations are still open and accepting international passengers. But it looks like the pax on AA44 are the only ones getting to CDG tonight on AA.
