Does anybody have some latest BCD or company codes to receive a discount of 10 % or higher?
Will there be any IDs, vouchers or a special country of origin required in conjunction with the code?
Thanks for sharing. I'm planning rentals in Chile around February/March.

It appears that using discount codes may not result in discounts at all with Budget. Check out the MasterCard/Budget and Costco/Budget deals (can be found in Costco travel brochures).

FWIW: I just glanced at a Ralphs supermarket shopping bag, and the expiration date is now 31 Dec. 2004. Says "Save up to 25%." Seems like one must try a bunch of codes to get the best rate.

First go into their home page:
https://rent.drivebudget.com/Home.jsp
Look at the upper left area and click on "Rates and Reservations." It's to the right of the big Budget sign.
Then you should see a page with Rate Preference, Discount Code (BCD) near the bottom. Put a dot where it says "BCD rates." Enter your code there.
Such a pain in the butt site!

Now that's an understatement! I haven't used Budget in a couple of years, but it is by far the cheapest of them all for my trip home to Calgary at Christmas and the Ralph's BCD worked to save me CDN45 over 4 days.
But, with that brutal site, there is no way to enter a BCD to see Ralph's rates if you log in first with your Fastbreak BCN#. You have to reserve/confirm without logging in, then call and get your BCN# attached to the rez.
And you have to call to change your profile too! What decade of the 80's are they operating in, anyway??!!

I "discovered" this secondary reservation page by mistake (how nice of them to hide the BCD code box when on the home page!), but I still can't find a box to enter my coupon code. When I called Budget, they said they could do it on the phone but then quoted me a higher base rate. Anyone know how to enter both a BCD code and a CPN code at the same time on the web site?

I am going to rent a standard car for a week from TUS to PHX and input the Entertainment 20% off coupon BCD code and although it gave me a discount, it was closer to 15%.
I then found the following webpage, and although it says that one gets a 15% discount on a weekly rental, but I think mine was higher.
In my case it carries 1,500 UA miles, as well, although the inital United webpage seems to indicate only 500 UA FF miles. The clincher was that at least for my car class, there was no drop charge!!

On the budget website I was quoted $280.00 for a weekly rental.
I waited a minute and went through the process again to see if the price would change, it didn't until the third time I tried. Now the price showed $250.00. It may be worth a second or third pass to see if the price changes when booking. F.Y.I.

I completed my rental and instead of the stated 15% that I was supposed to receive over the regular rates, it came to 27.7% !!! That is why it was better than the 20% coupon from the Entertainment Book.

Best luck for me of late is to pull up rates at Southwest's website, which I think gives a discount already, then modify by clicking the link at bottom to add discount codes. Pretty much have found Costco's to be as good as anything, often reducing an additional 25%.
Last weekend got $13 a day plus taxes/fees for CLE airport on a midsize.
When traveling with a spouse, Budget doesn't charge extra ($7 a day or so) for the second driver, which is also a major reason we look to Budget first.

hey there,
this is the code that me and my bf used to book our car in Poland, but it works for the USA, too. (actually we used american budget website, polish one does not allow you to enter coupon or discount code).
It is W810011 I found it on the Internet and the source was given as Wal Mart - discount for Wolly World (I know you - Americans - call it that way but am not sure of spelling, so in case I'm wrong, I'm sorry) customers. The infomration said it ought to give up to 25% off but when I checked it, it only gave 10%.
Anyways, it works and it's better than nothing, so hope you'll find it useful.
From Poland with love.

I want to use that coupon (BCD U072400) which allows you triple bonus miles on American and gives you one free upgrade up to "E" level. I looked on budget web page and it looks to me like it's a intermediate SUV (Class F)? Is this correct? Is that what I would get if I went for my free upgrade from my "E" level car? It doesn't seem right for some reason.
I'd really like a "mustang" or something "fun" SUV might be fun also (I've never drove one before). So I don't know whether to book for class C-intermediate and hope I get the upgrade to the mustang-what else do they have in that class besides mustangs? Or go all the way to class "E" and hope that they give me Class "F" which is the SUV.
I was thinking my chances of getting a mustang when arriving at 12-noon at OAK wouldn't be very good. It'd be pointless of me to get a upgrade at all from an economy car if I didn't get something "fun". If I can't get either of those I might as well save myself the money. Any way I can know in advance? Hehe. :O)
Suggestions?
Thanks,
Jaimie

I reserved my car through the USAA website (for USAA members only) and got a better discount than any other discount code that I've seen yet. Plus I was upgraded to a Premium car (small print says if one is available). Basically I got a Premium car for less than the cost of an Economy car (using the AA code and the Costco code).

I am finding HNL in July for four days to have the best/same price ($168) as other codes through this link for a full size car. So the potential for an upgrade and triple points makes this offer a good choice for me.
The offer states "on your next qualifying rental of three to five days on an intermediate or larger car." So if your rental is longer than the five days you don't have the option for an upgrade and lose opportunity for AA points? I am plugging this code in for nine days for KOA and getting a good price. It is coming in at $331 versus $316 for W116168, so if I could get potential upgrade and AA points, that would be nice.
Further review from aa.com shows that the triple mile offer and the standard offer of 50 points have the same BCD number U027400, with the coupon number of UUAZ009 being entered automiatically for the triple mile offer.
I am not up on rental stuff, so if anyone could give me a head's up on whether this offer includes rentals past three to five days? My interpretation is no and I should be happy with the price and leave it at that. However, the lure of a potential uprgrade and AA points makes me want to throw it out for another opinion. Thanks in advance for your comments and suggestions.

It's from Rentalcarmomma.com. I was able to get a Cadillac CTS for less than what I could find an intermediate anywhere else. It was a one day rental, and it was $36.80 before taxes. I think the midsize was a couple of dollars less, but the CTS with XM Radio was VERY nice.

Went to pick up car on Maui. I was asked for a HI license or mail to prove an HI address. this disount is only available to island residents. When I called the Entertainment # they told me that was the lowest rate available to me. I used my MA address and phone number and a credit card with my MA address to pay for the rental. After a 9 hour ride from Chicago I just would not pay a full price rental. The manager would not give me the discount. Finally someone found a BCD # to get a price of $171. with taxes and fees. After a 9 hour ride from Chicago I just would not pay a full price rental. The manager would not give me the discount. Finally someone found a BCD # to get a price of $171. with taxes and fees. I accepted it, but I was really tired, grumpy and sure I would never use Budget again.
Thanks for posting that follow up! I already had a car reserved and changed my code # to your code) for a MUCH better rate! Then I read your follow up. :td: lol I think perhaps I'll let it ride and see how I can do with them if they say no. ;)

The codes I've seen here do not seem to provide for upgrades, or are for weekly rental upgrades. I have a compact at AZO this weekend, but don't really want to be in a compact. Any discounts with double upgrades or similar for a 2 day weekend rental? The $$ difference is not the point, just trying to get something for nothing--the FT way.

Hi All,
I just booked a full size on budget.com for Kona March 15-17th. Price without discount $120 price after applying W116168 $82!
I just hope they don't ask where I got the code from...I am not sure if flyertalk.com would count! :p
Hi,
Did they actually asked where you got the code?
Thanks

Used this one the other day:
BCD # X739200
It's from Rentalcarmomma.com. I was able to get a Cadillac CTS for less than what I could find an intermediate anywhere else. It was a one day rental, and it was $36.80 before taxes. I think the midsize was a couple of dollars less, but the CTS with XM Radio was VERY nice.
Hi ctuttle--
Did you have any problem using this code? Did they question it at all? Reason I'm asking is I found some great rates with it too, and so went ahead and printed out that webpage from Rentalcarmomma. Then, I noticed that the code that's on the "member savings card" on the right is actually X793200, unlike the one in red on the left! Seems like maybe a typo? Anyway the rates I found were SO much less than almost every other code, I had begun to wonder if it was legit or if I'd get to the counter and be told I couldn't have it! So if you used it without problem, I'm much encouraged!!

Hello,
Does anyone have a valid BCD for BC, Canada. All of the codes mentioned here don't seem to work -- rate is the same with or w/o the BCD.
Budget is one of the few to have a station in Port Hardy on Vancouver island...
Many thanks

Used this for Grand Cayman GCM 8/26-9/2 called the Entertainment Budget #1-888-724-6212. Got a medium car for 1 week for $230. taxes and all. Is this good? could I add a coupon and get more off? I know I said Budget never again, but they have such darn good rates.

Some coupons are not accepted at some locations. Take an upgrade coupon with you, it couldn't hurt. I tried to use a double upgrade coupon when I made an online rez. at Maui and the website it would not be accepted there. :(

i had been using the X739200 code all summer here in philadelphia and scoring a single day rate of $25 (the rate was $44.99 with no BCD) and getting everything from a pontiac G6 to a chrysler pt cruiser. everytime i picked up the car the attendant was shocked by the rate.
i just tried the code again today, and there was not any discount applied at all. the X793200 gave me a pre-tax rate of $40.49. looks like someone finally caught on.

I've tried the BCD code above and it gives me the same discounted rate as my AAA BCD and Rutgers Alumni Association BCD. However the coupon code comes up as error that this location doesn't accept it.
Sadly, the total is over $50 for a one day rental plus $25 for under 25 year old driver (I'm 24) I can't justify paying $75 for an Econobox after paying $84 for roundtrip JetBlue airfare from JFK to ROC and back... the pride would kill me.

PS -- does anyone know what BCD # X739200 code stands for?
I had a car booked with this rate and went through a lot of umms, aahs, etc when picking the car up.
Seems this is an internal code used by Budget for Insurance claims. Apparently one's insurance company will make the reservation directly with Budget when they need a replacement vehicle while the insured's car is being repaired.
I was picking up at MIA and the woman immediately recognized the code as the MIA location is not supposed to be renting Insurance Claims; these are normally only rented from off-airport locations.
I was drilled for 5-10 minutes (How did I make the booking? Did I have my confirmation print-out from the web? {I did} Was I in an accident? Who was my insurance company? what was my claim number? Why did my insurance company reserve my a replacement car at an airport location?) In the end she did everything she could to have the system force the rate but she couldn't get past the screen asking for the Insurance Claim Number. She subsequently checked with her Manager who told her to do just do a new booking. When I compared the new booking rate to the X739200 rate, there was less than $5 difference. She booked the new car using BCD W852802. When reviewing the paperwork I noticed the price difference and she said she could refer back to the Mgr again and have him put a credit thru but I told her that was fine as my company would reimburse me anyway. I didn't want to draw any more attention to the situation for less than $5.
So, the long and short of it all based on my experience is to tread very lightly if trying to use BCD X739200 in the future.

booked with the same insurance claim code at Denver airport. One confused young man behind the counter who had to get his supervisor, who then said that they couldn't do it and started asking me similar questions about claim numbers, etc.
told them I just wanted to get a rental and if this caused a bunch of hassle to just book me a regular rate (with a AAA discount). When they entered my name again, the computer wouldn't take it!. Had to enter it with my middle name first, and a different credit card... I wonder if I will need to continue doing so in the future everytime I rent in Denver.
The guy behind the counter felt bad and upgraded me to an H3 (very handy in the snow of Southern Colorado where I needed to go), however, if you ask me if the extra hour at the Budget counter was worth saving $20, I would so no...
Based on that experience I could not recommend using the code unless you have the insurance claim to back it up...

I don't know what the origin of x280201 is but many thanks - the rate at PHX was nearly identical to x793200 and hopefully doesn't come with the hassles associated with the latter. About $50 cheaper than the regular rate on a weekend rental, and $30 less than Hertz.

Same deal here. Bunch of b.s. when I went to pick it up. I had printed out the page from rentalcarmomma.com and showed them. The agent then started a new rental for me at 3X the cost! Told her to take a long walk and went and rented elsewhere.

I called up reservations and the agent used the Fastbreak BCD JH999G and then gave me a $5 off coupon MUFZ031.
I actually had priced the Fastbreak BCD versus the AA/UA BCDs and the airline rates were lower.
So I booked my reseravtion using the AA BCD and the called up to ask a question and the agent said here's a $5 coupon and changed it to the Fastbreak BCD while keeping my original lower rental rate. :)

Had a similar experience with BCD X739200. Although I had read the posts already even before I booked, I thought the BCD I used was not the insurance one. Anyway, I ended up at the counter with a supervisor who noticed that it was the insurance replacement code. She explained that I couldn't avail of the rate becuase they didn't offer that rate at Airport locations. It took her another 15 minutes to make me a new reservation for a full size instead of a premium but the new rate was a lot higher even with some discount. I politely turned down the new agreement and walked over to Avis to get my regular corp rate on a full size. I ended up with a Mazda 5. It is some sort of a mini mini van. :)

I've discovered a very interesting link; it appears to be a resource intended for Budget's own customer service reps:
(The second one gives a bunch of nice coupon codes while also explaining how to "capture the reservation, and ultimately the rental, by making the customer feel that they are receiving a special value and that we care about their business.")
There is also good, detailed information about rental policies around the world, and this helpful guide to staying in shape:
Anyway, I found much of it quite interesting and revealing; I don't know how long it will remain open like this, but I highly recommend taking a look.

I've discovered a very interesting linkNice find -- thanks for sharing.
I tried a couple of the coupon codes on an upcoming reservation and they didn't error out, but also didn't lower the rate of the reservation (but I think that's typical of their reservation system -- the discount, if available, will be reflected at pick-up).
Just for kicks, I plugged in the BCD number listed for Cendant employees -- gave me a rate that was over $20 higher than the standard budget.com rate. Sounds like some of the supposed employee "discounts" at my employer! :)

That number you gave with the 3 letters and 3 numbers is your BCN/Rapid Rez/Fast Break number and I wouldn't be giving that out to anyone seeing as how it has your credit card number and other pertinent info attached to it. The BCD number is 1 letter followed by 6 numbers and that gives you the discount.

Thanks for the links. If you are renting a car in SEA and want to avoid the airport charges, try location KT1 (Kent). It is just a few miles away. Upon calling them, I learned that they will deduct the cost of a cab from your rental bill if you save your receipt. I am renting for 17 days and the KT1 rate was $400 less than the SEA rate.

For the past year, I've been frequently using my USAA discount number will great success, averaging about 20 to 25% off. I tried it first with this rez and the prices INCREASED 25%. Weird. I haven't had time to plug all the BCDs in to see what works best. Frankly, I enjoyed the USAA number since it was so simple to get a good rate. I don't want to go back to the "bad old days" of spending 15 minutes swapping BCDs on their website.

Who is this discount intended for? I just made a reservation using it and I just want to make sure it it not for some obscure group like the Arkansas association of one armed basket weavers.
BTW, I saved about $500 on a two week rental over what Orbitz was showing.
Did the counter ask for any ID or proof that you worked for the US Govt using the above code?
Has anyone ever been denied a rental price for failure to provide ID confirming the legit use of the codes?

I checked it out on Budget, and it gives me around a $200 discount on a minivan for an almost 6 day rental.
Are they going to ask me for identification of some sort? Does anyone know where this code comes from?

found this info over at rentalcodes.com
BCD V816100
Coupon ID TUGZ032
25% off plus free weekend day. The site also said that you could get $25 off of a week rental. Compact through Full Size.
The site states it is for UNION members only. When I go to the website (unionplus.org) and search it out, I do find the discount information. I am a union member, but not of this particular one. Is Budget going to ask for ID from me to prove my membership?
This is producing an AWESOME rate in ABQ for Memorial Weekend.

Months later and these links still work. Has anyone been ballsy enough to try the government codes or maybe even the Budget employee code? :D Do they ask for proof of employment at the counter?

well I almost had some balls. I had booked a car in orlando mid feb with the budget employee code, as opposed the to delta bcd. the employee code gave me another $5 off. But I chickened out, because of not being able to prove should they ask for ID. better to stick with the delta bcd since it was only another $5. HOWEVER, I talked to someone who used to work at Enterprise and they said they never verified employee IDs. crap shoot i guess.
here's an updated link to that interesting post with great codes, still working

Nick, my rapidrez bcd is U093300 for delta airlines discount (19/day compact) but during this delta 5000 miles bonus, I've been using V053900 gov't leisure rate (13/day compact). I used it 3 times this past weekend, no questions, no problems.
I should mention I rented from sacramento. same bcd's may give different rates, better or worse, at other locations.

(You don't need an advantage number to get your $50 off but to get triple miles you do)

quick question for everyone out there....
has anyone tried the X201400 (searched google and finally found out that its the veterns airforce code) or T997000 (travel agent's code).
Both of these codes give me excellent deals, however, I'm a little bit afraid to use either of them.

Newbie here.... thought I'd add this. I've been looking for a one way convertible rental in Florida for the last week, cheapest I could find with any code was $480. Most came to $520. I used a Budget convention code I found on ebates (dot com) and I got it for $307 taxes in. This is for a Ford Mustang (I HOPE... the or similar could be something else!).
Anyways, try these BCD's- for meetings/business travel, so anyone can use them!
BCD U071101 (one I used, for meetins/conventions)
S190554 - "save up to 25% off for business travel!"
Hope that helps someone
***EDIT - I just tried codes for Canadian government, union code in prev post, and Budget employee- the code above beats ALL of them. If you find a cheaper rate, let me know :) Unfortunately, I'm set on a convertible (Hopefully mustang!!) for the week.

Despite the warning earlier in this thread, I made a reservation using this BCD and reduced my rate from $45. to $33. I thought as an insurance agent with business cards with "Travelers" and the umbrella logo on it I would be OK. When I went to pick up the car at Westchester Airport after 10 hours in transit from Costa Rica it was a nightmare. The "manager" refused to honor my reservation and said he had cancelled it and had no car for me. After my repeated protests he offered me a car for $105! I called my daughter who was at home and had her check the rate online. It came up $45. After my further, and at this point heated, demands, he gave me a car at $45.

I made a Budget reservation weeks ago using Entertainment book code
X443034, received a very good rate for the week at IAD on a compact class...used the entertainment book coupon MUGZ683 for an additional $20 discount. Today I received an email from Costco showing a coupon code of MUGZ127 good for $25 off the weekly rate.
Does anyone know if I have to use the Costco BCD# to take advantage of this bigger weekly savings, or can it be applied to the existing quote using the entertainment BCD#? Do I just give the rental counter the new coupon code when beginning the rental? When I try to get a new quote now, the rate is much higher, as I am only 6 days away from the rental.
It is only $5, but that will buy me some gas. uhhh perhaps 1 gallon? LOL Thanks for comments.

So, what happens if I return my car at 2 Days 22 hours even if I reserved for the full 3 days? Can they somehow opt-out of honoring my coupon? Thanks!

Doubtful you will find "9 day" or "Fiji" specific codes on this or any other site.
Look for "weekly" discounts ... they may be your best bet. 9 days falls between one and two weeks so rates may not be so good.
Did you try BCD U071101? Seems to be a very good all round code.
FWIW (my personal experience) very few BCDs actually reduce rates outside North America or Europe. Blame it on the franchisees. And if you get an artificially low rate, they may actually refuse to honor it ... had to dispute it(and win) with my credit card agency in USA.
Have you chatted up anyone at the local agency? Or anyone in Fiji's large Indian community?

That would be incorrect. Just about every coupon and BCD code IS interchangeable and allowed UNLESS specified otherwise in the rules for a promotion or coupon. (Even then, we all know that's questionable, as in the delta budget/avis beaucoup miles promos of late :p).

The new entertainment books list an offer from Budget in celebration of their 50th anniversary. The one I like is 50% off weekly rental, the BCD number is X443036. Do you think I could use this instead of the UO72500 BCN for the 8500 miles offer from Continental, which must be booked on their website? The rate is about $40 cheaper if I use the entertainment code. Entertainment # has limitations of which I can qualify for; tried linking to but only gives a blank page. Offer good til Nov 20. Must show proof of enterainment membership at time of rental.
