Normally a CO W fare on NW metal gives me 50% EQM, because I buy them through my company's TA. If I purchase the fare on co.com directly, will NW credit me with 100% EQM? I'm willing to pay the additional $10 it would cost me to book directly vs. through my TA if so. If not, I may have to book different flights; even just over a week out they're showing sub-$200 W-fares for the flights I want the first week in January. *sigh*

No such luck. Booking on their website only helps if the miles are accruing to a one pass account.
I believe if you are crediting flights on NW metal to your WP account, you will get 100% EQM.
I booked CO codeshare fights on NW metal which were CO T fares (NW K) using my company's booking system. I got full 100% EQM to my WP account.
I booked CO flights on CO Metal on Co.com that were W fares using my WP number and got credited with 50% EQM.

These are CO metal crediting to my WP account, so no love. I hate to start the new year with 2 x 50% EQM flights, and I hate connections. I wish they'd just up the fare buckets -- I've waited 2 weeks to purchase already and we're closing in on the 7-day mark... you'd think they wouldn't have these sub-$200 fares available this late. :(
