Cheap and Disney don't go together. If you have AAA you can buy advanced tickets there but the discount is rather small. In the area there will be time shares solicitors that would offer this but don't unless you have lots of spare time.

Go to Mousesavers.com and sign up for their monthly newsletter for special deals. Ticketmania also has good prices with specials on different passes monthly.
We go in two weeks! Have fun!

Welcome to FlyerTalk mjstef2!

Was in Kissammee (just down the road from Orlando - have cheaper motels) for a conference a few years ago (conference was in Orlando) and saw all kinds of souvenir / tourist shops with signs for discount tickets to Disney and other attractions. Since Disney is not exactly my cup of tea I did not look into how legit these discount tickets are, nor if they are a good deal.

In fact, since Orlando has its own section in Travel & Dining I'm moving your query there, because I suspect you will get more educated answers there.

Just be careful with those as most of those "discount ticket" stands are really trying to get you to take a timeshare tour. Now if you want to do that, then you can probably get some free or deeply discounted tickets. But they will cost you some time and having to deal with a timeshare salesperson.

No such animal as cheap disney tickets.

The best you can do is get a small, very small, discount from AAA and/or ticketmania. I've used ticketmania and their service is very good, btw.

Sign up at www.mousesavers.com for their monthly newsletter. They often have specials with brokers for an additional couple of dollars off.

Don't count on getting more than $10 off on a multiday ticket.

If you plan on returning in future it is much cheaper to buy additional days on the ticket you're buying now (with the no exipiry option) and using them next time you visit.

Florida Residents also get a slight (10% I think) discount off some tickets with proof of License for each ticket...

There is no such thing as a cheap disney ticket... none.

However, there are ways to save SOME money. If you plan on going back within 365 days, buy an annual pass. You can also factor in AP discounts on resort rooms and such. If you're willing to do a timeshare tour, that's another way to save money. Also, dig around on disney message boards like disboards and wdwmagic. Another one, on orlandoforums.com, sometimes Disney CM's will sell their comp passes and main entrance admits at negotiable prices. Caveat emptor on the last one though :)

I know of people who have gone to the FL DMV and gotten a nonresident drivers license as a form of FL ID for the discounts, but I don't know much about that :) The nonresident licenses are nearly indistinguishable from a resident licenses based on the ones I've seen though.

I just love the timeshare thing. Always use it when my wife and I are in Orlando. To me personaly it's much more entertaining then any of the theme parks. You just pay $10 p.p. to see a salesperson get more frustrated by the minute, call in a supervisor who will get even more frustrated and after a while you have to leave through the backdoor with your Disney tickets in your pocket.
