An okay price for a lay flat bed TPAC.

Seems to be pricing R/T much lower than OW, dates work for the next ~2 months.

can't post links, date that worked for me: July 1-15, July 22-29, and other Wednesdays

Edit: Works for many destinations ex-YVR on HX, eg. TFU, BKK, CKG, CTS, OKA, etc.

What Seat in Comfort+ JFK-ATH?

I'm flying solo JFK-ATH on Airbus 330-900neo. I paid for Comfort+. Based on another thread on reddit I picked 30J, which is the bulkhead seat. Was told this had extra legroom and I could easily get by the aisle seat without that person getting up.

Now I am short (5'2"). I like having a window, but I also like to be able to get up and move if I feel the need to stretch my legs. I dont love the idea of having to store my personal item at takeoff/landing but will deal with it if its worth it.

WWYD? I thought maybe 30J would give me the ability to have a window and easily get up when i feel like I want to stretch.

I dont fly very much, maybe a few times a year but mostly on short flights. I've been to Europe 3 times so I'm not an expert on long haul flights.

BA Holidays cancelled flight, rebooked 24hrs later but car hire not changed

Booked a flight plus car to Spain. Return flight was cancelled by BA a week ago and the next flight was the following day which we�ve chosen. This was all done online.

Now a week later BAH have sent us the e-ticket receipt and the car hire return is as per original
flight.. I.e. a day early.

I would have assumed it�s BAHs responsibility to extend the car hire at no cost to us. Is this an incorrect assumption?

Where exactly in JFK T8 was the NBA Finals screen located?

Can�t tell from the video where this big screen is in JFK T8, even though it�s the terminal I know best at JFK and I�ve been there countless times.

For the AvGeeks and frequent flyers who want to know, can anyone mark on a terminal map where this happened? Is the screen a permanent fixture or something temporary?

Terms are below. Weird my home airport is lax yet I signed up and got this promo with terms.

EU 261 compensation payment - "higher amount when opting for a voucher"?

I want to claim EU 261 compensation from AF for a cancelled connecting flight which forced me to spend the night at AMS. Several questions:

1) Does it make a difference whether I make the claim through the AF or KL webpage? Flights and ticket number with KL, but it was the French ULTI team that called me to inform me of the cancellation.
2) It says that I have a choice between money and a voucher, saying that the compensation amount will be higher if I opt for the voucher. How can that be? I thought the amount was fixed by EU regulation (I think it's 250 EUR in my case). Will they give more than that when I pick a voucher?
3) Is there any point in sending my claim to the French ULTI team instead of using the web form? Maybe the ULTI team is just more "customer friendly", but maybe all they do is to pass it on to the same team that handles requests made through the web form.

Middle name missing on tickets

I have two reward bookings for my wife & I JFK-SIN. Our middle names aren't on the booking/tickets. My mistake I didn't see a spot for it and didn't think to add after out first names. Our passports have our middle names, will this be an issue for us checking in & flying?

Understanding pricing of ticket changes after departure

Could any of the gurus help me with this one... I have always understood that IATA fare rules for changes to return legs after departure were something along the lines of "repricing based on historical fares in place at time of issue + change fee" (which differs from pre-departure where the entire ticket is repriced based on the prices in effect at the time of the reprice). I might be wrong.

Out of interest (and sort of for future education as I'm now paying for my 3-4 annual trips having burnt through all my Avios!), I looked at the price to change the return leg (back to PMI via MAD) of my business class ticket to Bogota having already flown the outbound. This was about a second to cheapest I-class fare of around €2,300. You can find them for €2,000 with enough advanced planning and flexibilty.

Anyway, the very cheapest price I am offered to change at any date in the future is €666 - even when I select dates which, for new bookings, offer the same fare that I paid, or, lower than I paid.

The change fee is €250 as it was Business Optima.

Where is the €416 lift in fare coming from? doesn't seem right...? unless it's repricing based on a one-way fare?

CX J class water changed to Bonaqua

On an A321 to TPE, the big bottles in the galley are changed to Bonaqua, rather than the labeless Evian.

I mean, how much can CX save from bottled water..?! It is J class, no?

New carry-on limit

ANA has announced a new rule regarding the "personal item" that passengers may carry on in addition to a carry-on bag. Previously they simply required that the personal item be small enough to fit under a seat. However, from July 1, they will apply a specific size limit. The maximum dimensions are 20cm X 30cm X 40cm. When I travel for business, I always max out my carry-on allowance and bring a regulation size rollaboard plus my business/laptop bag. Unfortunately my business bag is a few cm over the "personal item" limit, so if ANA actually enforces this rule then they will not get any of my business travel. I would imagine that many business bags are slightly over this limit, so ANA could end up with a lot of unhappy business travelers.
