Vueling second carry on bag
I am flying with Vueling next week as part of a multi-city trip that begins this weekend (so need to get this sorted before I leave home).
Has anyone had any experience with the type of items that Vueling allow as the second "significantly smaller" item that their conditions of carriage permit?
I plan to take a dead on 55x40x20 case plus a rucksack which will fit under the seat. The lack of a defined size makes this rather difficult to judge.
Also, do they regularly make you put items into a "cage" at the boarding gate to make sure they fit in (like you get with easyJet and Ryanair)?

Good questions- would a backpack qualify (guessing no as it says 'small briefcase') if it fits under the seat in front of you.

I have never seen Vueling force anyone to check bags before the actual boarding. (OK, I assume there is some kind of limit...) Their "policy" seems to be to allow whatever you can carry, but once the bins are full they take everything of the remaining passengers (even that what's within the rules) to put it in the hold.

Took my Vueling flight this morning. It was approximately half full (I had the entire row of six seats to myself). The "cage" was placed at the boarding gate, but no-one was pulled up on their luggage, even the clearly oversized bags. Many people had two or three items.
