Combined with the US hotel points transfer promo, this might be a good idea.

if not, works out to 1.49 cpm w/ 50% US Air bonus and 1.28 cpm w/ 75% bonus if purchasing 20k

The regular price of the starpoint is $0.035/point. Wit 20%-off, it's $0.028/point.
You could buy 20K Starpoints with this 20%-off promotion for $560, and transfer the points to US to get 31250 miles (with 25% bonus), 37500 miles (with 50% bonus) or 43750 (with 75%). In other word, 1.7 cpm, 1.49 cpm or 1.28 cpm respectively.

How right you are. Three clicks AND mental math to see whether 1000 points cost less than 2 * 500 points.

And there's no "tax" charged like USAir.

Might be worth it depending on what you do with them after that... For 5k more you can get a ticket worth over 1k... depending where/dates etc....

It's $1000 per account. Many of us have multiple cc with multiple accts.

the mint cancelled one of my orders recently. Placed on different days with different cc. Same address though
