B747-8I moves closer to first flight

This is bigs day for Boeing. The B747-8I is getting closer to her first flight. I can't wait! You must so exciting news for 747-8I is ready for takeoff.

Has any carrier other than LH ordered the PAX version of this plane?

Boeing Business Jet ordered 8. LH ordered 20. KE ordered 5.

Unfortunate that only 32 748i's will be flying. Hopefully more airlines will consider it ordering it.

I agree. I hear a rumors TK is considering to order some 748I. Just a speculating about TK is in negotiations from Boeing or Airbus. They will have decides to choose 748I or A380.

Note that of the two airlines ordering the 747-8i, that both carriers have also ordered or are now operating A-380s.

And one of them is also a manufacturer of many Boeing parts, for both the 787 and 747 lines.
