Bags under the seat in front in the back row?
A new experience recently - the back (last) row of a 737 on an Astreus charter flight for a skiing holiday.
Was told I was definitely NOT allowed a bag on the floor under the seat in front 'because it is an exit row'. Not only was this very annoying because all the overhead lockers for the back 2 rows are taken up with fire extinguishers, etc, but since when was the BACK row restricted in this way? I can well understand over-wing exit rows and bulkhead seats having this restriction, but is this simply adding insult to injury or is there some sort of logical reason I couldn't fathom?
