I know that this question has been addressed, but I'm getting
conflicting information from a Delta Agent at the international awards
desk:

Apparently, if you have an award ticket with some flights waitlisted,
the waitlist cannot be held if you ticket over the phone (but you can
be put back on the waitlist). If you ticket at a ticket office /
airport, you can continue to hold your waitlists (however, through
12/31, there is a $75 per ticket fee to ticket at the airport - by
reservation is on hold to 12/31). Two questions:

If I ticket at the airport and never leave the waitlist, does the $50
fee apply if/when the waitlist clears?

If I ticket over the phone, lose my waitlist, and then get back on the
waitlist, do I get charged the $50 fee if/when the waitlist clears? (Phone agent said 'yes', which I believe is inconsistent with the information you've provided), but admitted that there is confusion as to when the fee does / does not apply.

• The $50 change fee would not apply to either situation, assuming these are SkySaver tickets and there is no change to the origin and destination. If origin and/or destination change, a $50 fee would apply. We have also forwarded your comments to our frontline leadership to ensure we are delivering a consistent message. Sorry for the confusion.
