I'd be better off not flying at all.

I once hung around here and flew Delta exclusively. I left during the first battle of Save SkyMiles and never looked back. Having said that, flying in the US these days sucks and overseas domestic is in the toilet too. Long distance international Business is OK but nothing like the past.

I started a couple of years ago to use up all my points in airlines and hotels and am now close to having wiped them all out. As I get enough for a couple of business tickets I use them.

Weather or not Delta remains in business for this consumer is a non-issue. Someone will be flying and it will be another generic bus with wings. I really don't care anymore about the color of the livery.

My dream now is that when i retire in a few years,my wife and I are taking a long leisurely trip around the world and we will never once get on a plane.
