UA AQ Award - Tell me About their F Class Seats Please
I'm thrilled to have just scored a SNA/KOA//HNL/SNA F class award with UA points my husband forgot he had! Glad I searched through that drawer!
I couldn't fly home from OGG on the day I wanted, but can the next day from HNL, so will just buy the KOA/HNL sector. I am travelling mid-Jan, so maybe that has something to do with my luck!
I can't find any discussion of Aloha F seats & SeatGuru doesn't have them. Any advice? Right now, I have 1A both ways, as I hate having someone lie in my lap. Was this a good move? The bulkheads are wide open on both flights, which makes me a little nervous. Is there something wrong with them? Any other comparision of AQ to AA (good) or DL (yuck) F cl / advice would be appreciated!
Sorry, have never flown UA F HNL/LAX to compare - had to do Y once when my TWA flight (just a wee bit ago!) had a mechanical - nothing better than getting downgraded from a F window to Y in the middle when you've already taken off once, returned, then been stuck on the tarmac most of the night!

Congratulations!
With member hat on -- AQ's F is much nicer, imo, than UA's. And the bulkhead seats are the best on the plane. LOTS of legroom.
With moderator's hat on -- since this really is a question about a Hawaii airline (and since there are other threads in the Hawaii Airlines forum about F on AQ) I'm going to move it there.

Although many have complained about the downfall of Aloha's F class service, I'm still hearing a few good things about it here and there. Enjoy!

I'm confused....
The original poster said their flight to KOA and from HNL was on AQ in F.
Nothing was said about which airline is being ticketed for KOA-HNL.

Ah yes, I see it now. The OP is flying SNA-KOA, open jaw, HNL-SNA. My comments are in reference to Aloha's trans-pac flights; not any interisland segment.

Aloha F is a solid domestic first class product. I've done it three times and have been happy with the service and food each time. The seats are what you would typically have with two-class domestic service on a narrow body plane.
