I just tried to use this for a rental on Dec-11 to Dec-14. Without the PC code the rate for a midsize is $54.51 p/d. With out the code the rate is $43.18 p/d. .... It's cheaper to pay for NeverLost. I am not impressed.

Yep. I've had that sort of thing happen too. You always have to try various combos to get the best rate it seems. This thread just gives access to codes. None of them are the best option all the time. There may be some other situation in which that code would be the better option.

that's a AAA code. Every once in a while these seem to yield greater than normal savings. I have one upcoming reservation which gave me 24% (?) off instead of the normal 10 or 15%.

FWIW, the AAA CDPs all seem to be just the club code number with any leading zeroes inserted to make 6 digits. I had a hard time finding that until I booked a reservation through AAA's web site, printed out the confirmation, and saw the CDP buried in the booking info.

Tried using PC # 978622 for Rent 4 days, get 5th day free, offer good through 1/31/06.

I am looking at 8 days in LAS first part of January. The Hertz quote for a Taurus per day is $110.49, so with taxes, fees, etc., the total is $ 1057.62! A Hyundai Accent quote is $513.13! Leave out the coupon, and the Taurus price is $295.15, which still is much higher than Dollar's quote of a Dodge Magnum for $193.00.

The offer states minimum 5 days rental, and I don't see a maximum. Is the 8 day rental causing the sky-high quote?

I figured it out - the offer for 5th day free/PC # 978622 is based on a daily rate only, not weekly rate, which is causing the high price. (Waaaaay too high.)

Hm, did anyone post this one yet?

PC 978633 Rent 2 weekend days, get 3rd free, good for nearly everything in US/CA/PR
http://offers.hertzgold.com/offer.aspx?offerid=199

I just did what I'm sure some of you have done before. I was poking through some of these other offers, and I took one of those links with the offer ID at the end and started counting up. 199 looks nice. Maybe they haven't quite sent it out yet or something? Dunno, I don't think I've seen it. Anyway, looks good but subject to blackout and capacity limits, expires 1/16/06.

EDIT: Definitely does price, at least sometimes. Prices very well up through full size with AAA CDP and that PC for 3-day weekend keep at PIT, Dec 17-19. 3 days of full size 75 bucks including all taxes. Not bad at all.

This is a great code. Unfortunately, it expired this month. Use it while you can, especially with some of the discount profiles.
