Service around swimming pools

I’m curious to hear your experiences of service at the luxury hotels swimming pool.

Staying at a 5* property, I enjoy the services around the swimming pool very much – Towels are being prepared, ice cold water is served, some properties even services you complimentary fruit.

Stayed at the FS Singapore a couple of months ago, and got a very nice treatment around the pool – towels were prepared, cold water, cold towel, slices of water melons…

Looking forward to hear some stories of how other hotels treat their guests around swimming pools.

At FS Maui, they will spritz you with Evian should you wish.

My best pool service has been at the following hotels:

Shutters on the Beach, Sant Monica, CA
Four Seasons Palm Beach, Palm Beach, FL
The Santuary, Paradise Valley, AZ

All were excellent!!!

My most recent poolside service experiences:

Last week at the RC Sobe:
Comp smoothies and good all-around service

A few weeks ago at he FS AUS:
No comp items or spritzes, but good service. My SO was sleeping and they made extra effort to be silent when delivering drinks

The pool butlers at Las Ventanas in Los Cabos are pretty amazing. We sat at the same chairs so after the first day they remembered where we sat and prepared everything for us. Everything is anticipated, if you want shade or sun their right there to move your umbrella. Throughout the day they walk by with sorbet, fruit or smoothies. Evian sprays and chilled water are replenished as well.

I also have to say that the Montage in Laguna Beach had really nice pool service too.

Why would a person want to be spritzed with Evian? If you're sitting by the pool and it's hot, wouldn't it make more sense to take a dip in the pool?

I agree. I have always thought the Evian spritz to be so f***ing pretentious, like some "lesser" water might lead one to break out in a rash.

The FS Punta Mita gave us Hagen-Dazs poolside last winter. No complaints there.

I like the ice cold pineapple & washcloths handed out at Kea Lani's adult pool.

At the Belvedere in Mykonos, we were last October, so beginning of offseason, and the pool attendents were at our "beck and call" every minute.

No spritzing with water, though I am sure it could have been arranged. Large cotton futons next to pool with great food/drink service. They helped us with reservations for the best restaurants, tips on what to do, and made our stay extremely memorable. We have also been there during high season, and we enjoyed things, but did not have quite the personal touch.

Perhaps someone who doesn't want recently made-up hair, makeup and body treatments to be affected by chlorine/salt? Or a "I don't do public pools" person who still wants a tan?

Scared to mention it but yes, Evian spritz
Fruit kabobs
Everyone's favorite - at 3 PM they came out with HagnDaz Ice Cream pops!
One towel for the chaise and one rolled up for your head.
Probably anything else you could think of asking for!

It ain't Motel 6!

It's a bit like having a "bath butler". There's only so much luxurious treatment one can receive before it starts to get silly.

I think any spritz is pretentious. Someone to bring cool drinks and towels is fine.
