EI Flight Check with Pictures

I took the EI flight to LAX the other day and jsut have the following observations:

http://www.kodakgallery.com/ShareLan...fromshare&Ux=0

1) Ground Service = an asolute disgrace - no wonder why they have to leave Oneworld. @ LHR it is basically a LCC style service and I find the staff at DUB no better. When I arrived, NO one to escort me through immigration, lounge dragon said she will call the flight and failed to do it at the end (just told us to run to the gate as we will miss our flights!).

2) On Board Service:
- Overall the crew was friendly, similar to BA, however just lacking in the detail touch BA and CX has. Also often forget service items.
- Catering. MUCH better than BA. more choices and more QUANTITY!. They service 3 meals on the LAX run compare to 2 on BA. Also the taste was really good. I love the canapes compare to the packaged nuts on BA. For the flght this length, 3 meals is the right quantity and it was tasty as well. For breakfast they have a HOT option as well comapre to the continental breakfast on BA!
- Seats - It is like the CX NRBC. Comfortable for the day flight but for the night flight it is pretty bad. Still better than J of course!
- Amenity Kit - Loccitane kit with some useful stuff like the face wipes
- Toilet also stock with Locitane hand wash and lotion
- The blankets and neck pillows were a nice touch

Impossible! The concensus amongst most stuffy premium class travelers is that airline food doesn't hold a candle to restaurant fare, and so couldn't possibly be worthy of any positive comment. Are you sure you're referring to airline food? From the Irish national airline? Was it boiled?

P.S. That Golden Circle lounge had to have been one of the utilitarian looking premium class lounges I've ever seen. I did like the fridge well stocked with cans of Guinness though... Also, the meals looked very good. That's quite a bit of food.

I take back what I said before---the Golden Circle lounge beats the ambience of the T1 pier that handles the Irish flights. At least they have Guinness in the nitrogen cans.

I too am shocked, shocked I tell you, that EI don't provide a dedicated escort to answer any and all random and/or OT questions that pop in to one's head and simply must escape somewhere, somehow, some time soon as one makes one's way through DUB with no access to FT. I find this unacceptable.

Next time I fly into DUB, I demand a Grubby Escort, holding a sign labelled "Grubby", to escort me to the Grubby Circle Lounge, where I can enjoy some pre-flight plastic cheese. Yum.

" In relation to the connection at DUB... You will be met at the aircraft door on arrival from LHR. An EI staff member will then bring you through fast track and up to the Gold Cirlce lounge. I have done this trip twice now using the Ł399 expedia fare, and both times i was met upon arrival in DUB.

I agree with the other poster about the deserts... Uuummmm Delicious! "

One can understand that they might escort the OP whom you quote, but why would they escort **you**.

I think the label "Premier" on the plates and cups lowers the image/tone of the service. A logo would suffice.

I actually really like the FONT and I think they do it quite well. But me = no design expert...
