At the HWV you need to register but you only get points and not a cheaper stay. No idea how you get invites for a cheaper stay.

I'm trying to figure out when that might be a good deal. Basically, from a previous post, someone would have to value 375K HH points plus Gold status at around $15K. Given that status is only a real benefit if I actually stay at Hiltons and if I do that, I should be able to acheive Gold fairly easily anyway. So the status part doesn't really mean that much. And while I'm sure 375K points are a lot, are they really worth $15K? I would think even at a liberal view of $.02/pt, they would only be worth $7500.

So even if someone wants to buy into HGVC, I don't see the draw of purchasing direct. Unless, like Marriott, if you purchase early into a location, the price is much lower and about what the resale price will end up once resales start to hit the market.

Since HGVC doesn't have a property on Maui, this strategy won't work. Here are links to current preview specials:

For US residents only

Do you think I might use a fake US address or will I be denied?

West 57 st

I did the tour in NY recently. I would say it was a mid pressure sales pitch that took about 70 minutes. Price was high 50k - 66K. Package deal was nice as I received 3 nights at the NY Hilton, 20K HH points, $100 Amex and $100 credit to spend at hotel. All this for $280. If you get the telemarketing call from HGVC, negotiate with them as the first offer can easily be sweetened.
