mysterious prices on flychinasouthern.com website (LAX-CAN-LAX for 1++ USD) etc

China Southern website http://www.flychinasouthern.com/index.php?lang=en advertises some really cheap fares, example LAX-CAN-LAX for 1++ usd and PAR-CAN-PAR for 9+ eur (they use mysterious star sign instead of "+" I used here). Fare rules and all other details about this campaign are missing however. I wouldnt mind flying CZ and collecting some Skyteam miles for 90-something euro, but how to book? Anybody with ingsight on this?

Ah, I just saw that travel date for this promotion was supposed to be between 15th March and 30th June... Why are they still advertising expired offer?

Unfotunately my keyboard does not have star keys, but I agree that it would had been better to use some other symbol instead of "+". That being said, 199 USD for transpacific return would be still a great deal, even before tax. But the offer seems to be expired and perhaps mods could add "fare gone" to the thread title?

I agree. I am just trying to say people might think base fare was only $1.00 (instead of $100-$199 range).

I think these were the promotional fares offered by CZ when it first joined ST.

You probably didn't miss out on any miles. Very few CZ coach fares earn miles in most Skyteam programs.

Even $1.00 for CZ in coach is no bargain. You'll earn each and every one of those miles in that cabin. Business class is a different story however and is not too bad.
