How many FT Get Togethers have you attended?

How many FT Get Togethers have you attended?

This question came up at the San Diego party and got me thinking. Along those same lines, what qualifies as a Get Together?? 2 Flyertalkers? 3 Flyertalkers? I would be thinking 3.

And LexPax and I could count dinners in SAN with Captain Mike! (Don't rub it in too much, Punki - I HATED having to cancel out on last weekend's SAN gathering!)

Oh well, we'll get to one Real Soon Now...

My first FT event was the recent San Diego event. I will be attending the DFW metroplex event in Sept. Had a very nice time at the San Diego event & look forward to attending many more FT events.

But Punki, by that criteria, you have had thousands of FT Get Togethers! Or is it three FTers besides oneself?

And you all have not answered the question! Also, I think certain friendships have developed over the years, and some of us have gotten together in "unofficial" social situations.

Myself? Maybe seven occasions that were planned for weeks on the board, and about a dozen one on one (or two) spending the day or an hour visit. Then what about regular cyberspace correspondence?

I've enjoyed every encounter.

My first FT event was the Catman DO III in NYC in march. My 2nd FT event will probably be in Stockholm next month and my 3rd event is expected to be PIP 2001 in November.

I have been to 2 FT gatherings at far corners of the continents- Dusseldorf in November and Seattle in May.

If you count local gatherings at DCA airport for drinks, possibly another 4, although not officially announced and posted on FT. Looking to meet up with more FTers in Vancouver in August and San Francisco in September.

Once we agree on a definition maybe we can all answer.

If it's >= 3 FTers (not including yourself) then I've attended two... two and a half since I attended another but was booted out.

Two official ones, CatManDo III and San Diego, plus lunch with two FTers and the non-FT buddy of one of them in London earlier this year. More to come!

I can't really figure it out. In the 33 months I've been participating in FT I've made so many close friends that I see a FT'er about every third week.

As to more formal events, say with at least five people, there has been at least a dozen.
