London: November 8-10

Check LONDON DO WEBSITE for frequent updates.

With the permission of ljp99, who started the thread suggesting that we meet in London in November, I am starting a new thread specific to the weekend of November 8. If you have already posted to the other thread, and plan to be in London on this weekend (Veterans Day weekend in the States), please post here.

We just had a great FT weekend in London. We kept it very simple - had dim sum just off Leicester Square for lunch, and a pub crawl and curry for dinner. I suggest that we plan the same, leaving everyone plenty of time on their own to party, theatre, shop, or museum.

UPDATE:
ljp99 and Prncess674 are going to the London Eye at 11am on Saturday. Feel free to buy a ticket and join them. Prncess674 expressed interest in visiting the Tower of London. Email her if you want to go. If anyone is planning on the Lord Mayor's parade, please email Leumas. Contact RichardGreenFL if you want to coordinate sightseeing.

RichardMannion is hosting a group at Wagamama, behind Selfridges, at 5pm on Saturday; email him directly.

Geez, Marty, it's not enough that you complain when people organize weekend get-togethers in Chicago. Now you have to gripe that they're organizing them in places you might actually be found in

Mon ami -
It's not the place (for you are very correct in your assumption), but it's the time. November? That's like 9 months from now. I don't even know what I'm having for dinner tonight...

There's this little thing of extraordinary air fare sales going on from many of the international carriers that expire at midnight tomorrow night. I figured we might as well give people a target to shoot for as they think about where to fly on $300 tickets. AND this weekend is a long holiday weekend in the States. You surely don't plan to stay home in Chicago, do you?

Its also a bet (or a future) that we'll all still be around post terrorist / Iraqi events.

I know that sounds crazy, but Im tired of hearing all this panic talk today.

I'm at DFW on the way to Paris (AA, upgraded to business) and just bought a ticket for SFO-LHR. I arrive late on the 7th and home morning of the 10th. Count me in! (Just happens to fall during one of my vacations.)

Count me in!

Planning to be in the US the weekend before for my Birthday, now where shall I go this year..... maybe a quick tour down the West Coast? Obviously using a Virgin Atlantic route in

Last year I had to move my plans (LHR-LAX-LAS) due to work.

Thanks,
Richard

I'm with you, iluv2fly...at least about what's for dinner tonight.

Irregardless, I'm now booked on AA46 from SFO on 11-7, and AA47 back on 11-11, so I've made my way onto the FT party plane.

(Gotta find a cheap way to get from HNL to LAX...along with some projects to pay for all this, now...)

Aloha.

(edited to update itinerary)

The AA party plane is shaping up to be:

Friday, Nov 7 - AA46 - ORD-LHR, 8:30pm-10am

Tuesday, Nov. 11 - AA47 - LHR-ORD, 2:15pm-4:55pm

Upgrade space is currently available. And enough of us are flying with Executive Platinum status, that we should be able to get everyone interested into the Flagship Lounge.

Confirmed.

P.S. Double AAers might want to add coupon code S716HG at aa.com for a small discount to the $190+ deal.
