Atlanta Meet

I apologize in advance to all of the Delta forum vegetarians out there for adding another thread about yet another meet, but atl runner came up with the excellent idea of having a Delta forum meet in the Atlanta area.

No dates or locations within the Atlanta area have yet been announced. Rather, I would like for everybody who is interested to post the dates that they may be able to attend, as well as to what type of food they would be interested in eating so that an appropriate restaurant can be chosen.

This could wind up being one major meet or several mini-meets. The choice is up to you.

Please post your thoughts, availability and food preference here in this thread and we will see what direction this thread goes...

I am interested. Will eat just about anything.

Right now looks good for July 10, 17, 31, or any time in August.

I have some friends I can stay with in Marietta. Hope we can hold the meet near there.

I have met some foods I wouldn't eat again, including 1,000-year old eggs in China. But I'm sure that any restaurant we pick in Atlanta will have something I will enjoy.

I could do either Sat 7-17 or Sat 8-28 which fit into the above time parameters, and also those of MsEverywhere . I mentioned to Canarsie and would like to throw out the suggestion of Mezza. It's a Lebanese restaurant not too far from LaVista Rd at I-285 (on LaVista between Toco Hills and Northlake). Reasonably priced, great food and an incredibly varied menu to appeal to all tastes. Very friendly and accomodating owners/staff as well. ^

Once you guys decide on a date, I'll make it if I can. I'm on vacation for four of the next ten weeks.......but if a date is picked where I'm actually stateside, I'd love to join everybody.
I'll buy an "A" fare as I'm going to try for 150,000 MQM's this year for the extra PMU's....

I second everything Cholula says, with one exception. What is this MQM of which he speaks?

You are going to a meet in Atlanta? In the SUMMER -- when only mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun?

Canarsie,

Though I've belted you an' flayed you,
By the livin' Gawd that made you,
You're a better man than I am, Gunga Din!

Actually, I pretty much switched over last year. I fly DL only to 2 destinations now ... BOM and CHS. A single trip to BOM (nearly 24,000 MQMs with an upgradable fare) every other January will pretty much guarantee me lifetime FO status.

This year so far, I have 50,000 miles on AA and 6,000 on DL.
