BA number on boarding pass, but got AA credit instead. What to do?

i need the credit for BA tier points - this happened on just one of the segments of a four segment trip in paid first on a yup fare - the others posted on bA perfectly. But one of the flights showed up on my AA account mysteriously. Where do i begin to sort this out?
i still have the boarding pass with the BA executive club number on it.this was a AA domestic flight
Thanks.

how did they know your AA number?
Did you present it at check-in?

no. gave my BA number again which appeared on the boarding pass of this and the other 3 segments. however, i showed the agent my platinum card in order to board with the first group as this was a commuter flight with no first class. may that have been it?

You contact the carrier that has your miles posted, in this case AA.

Enclose a copy of the bp, the account numbers, and explain that the credits have been split.

Advise that the mileage credits were to go into the BA FF account. AAdv will remove from AAdv and send a transmittal to BA authorizing them to post those segments.

Good luck.
