Can I earn Alaska miles on a DL flight ?
We are AA flyers, but this particular routing - SAN to FLL one-way, DL has the best time and the best price - so we would fly DL for the first time.
Can we earn Alaska Airline miles on a DL flight (DL metal) ?
We occasionally fly AS, and figure we would be better off to dump the one-time DL miles to our AS accounts.
Thanks for inputs.

Yes. But like my recent booking on Continental, I had to change it at the airport. They might not have updated their website to allow you to input your AS number. Not sure since I haven't booked on Delta in ages.
Good luck!

On DL website, you cannot input the AS number. Either do it by telephone or at the airport on day of travel.

Yes.
This is how one can fill a space for the required 10 characters.
