NW, where's the love for DTW?

I was trying to get to MSP from DTW for this. All cities (DTW, FNT, TOL, LAN), all options, all airlines come out to more R/T than all in for MSP-AMS!!!. Best I got was multi-city DTW-MSP-AMS and back for a little over $500. Needless to say, I won't be going.

Awesome find, TransWorldOne! ^ ^ ^

I just went to nwa.com to price it out.
5/7 MSP-DTW-AMS
3.5 hours in AMS
5/8 AMS-MSP
When I went to price it out, it said the price had changed....to 189.95!!! WOW!
Now, can anyone tell me if 3.5 hours is enough to transfer in AMS?!?!

Great fare. Found some dates around end Apr. out on a Fri. and back Sun. for CAD$275.00 all in! Too bad it'll cost at least twice as much to go YEG-MSP.

3.5 hours to transfer in AMS is plenty of time - but you likely won't have time to get out of the airport, into Centrum (center of the city) and then back.

Have fun.

Fare rules include:

Other Discount
NOTE - THESE FARES ARE NOT VALID WITH ANY OTHER COUPON/ CERTIFICATE OR BONUS OFFER/CORPORATE DISCOUNT/ PROMOTION/ WORLDPERK AIR TRAVEL AWARD/ OR GROUP TRAVEL. UPGRADES ARE NOT PERMIITED INDUSTRY DISCOUNTS ARE NOT PERMITTED.

Note the "upgrades are not permitted" part. I don't know if this is only for the international portion or if it is for the domestic portion as well. Would elites actually not get upgraded MSP-DTW if they're going MSP-DTW-AMS? I doubt it.

This is an awesome fare. But it's pissing me off....I have a V fare AMS-DTW-SEA this weekend and I paid a lot more than $224 but the ticket is marked "NON-CHANGEABLE". Yet the $224 fare has a $200 change fee.

I really don't understand how the airlines get away with this NON-CHANGEABLE crap. They'd rather make $200 off me to change a ticket I'd think.

I think it is gone...
I was trying to sandwich a long weekend in before a trip to SIN and SGN for the first two weeks of May. No way. And even though I can still book on travelocity, addon from the west coast is $450.

NWA.com price jump

This fare show up on NWA.com but as soon as you hit select it jumps to the $800 fare. It appears to be pricing on Travelocity though.
