CHICAGO Lunch, July 13... Nuevo Leon/BomBon Bakery

I'm free on the 13th after 11 am. Where to have lunch? (see below)

Flat Top yet again? or someplace different?

I'm up for anything. We've done Hot Doug's, maybe something else in the West/South Loop. BBQ? Mexican?

Throw out your faves.

Confirmed:

I'm always up for Flat Top (especially now that they've assigned us a regular waitress and we have unlimited access to roti!) but will follow cheerfully follow the crowd.

I checked Roy's... they're not open for lunch.

I should be free for lunch on Tuesday or Wednesday. I'm definitely not free for lunch on Thursday or Friday.

Mexican would be good, especially if you could swing through and pick a couple of us up. Is Nuevo Leon over on 18th open for lunch? Then we could pick up sweets at BomBon afterward!!

Nuevo Leon looks good and it's open for lunch. Plus, it's right down the street from County. Works for me!

(and it's not far from the Loop or FlatTop, so it should work for all of you too. The Blue Line stops right at 18th and Paulina.)

Nuevo Leon on Metromix

and BomBon sounds REALLY good for dessert:

BomBon Bakery

I can vouch for BomBon's cakes - we've used them several times and have been extremely pleased. They're expensive, but worth it.

OUCH! was waiting for that one, it is deserved.

Nuevo Leon is AWESOME, some of the best food in the city. ^

edited to add: the way my work ethic is in high gear after the 4th (NOT!), Nuevo Leon is BYOB, so I probably will be. Tequila for lunch, MMMMMM

Hey, maybe some Margarita mix to go with it? I'll bet Nuevo Leon would provide the ice if Cheryl or Nick bats their eyes!

¡Bolas! I'll be wheels-up at 11:30 CDT for Tokyo. Pitch in a few insults for me.
