Keep up the rumor mill, Jon! I had to look this up; wasn't sure where it was. Apparently, it's in the UK. Why would AA launch service there? What is there?

Also, what equipment will they use?

Perhaps the beginning of the rumored 757 subfleet? They could follow the Ireland service model, and sell all-Y, while giving elites the chance to snag a domestic F seat.

When they introduce the new J seat, AA could at that point swap out for a "new" (at least in configuration) 757.

Sounds like a 757 route if they can not get an EMB to go that far. Maybe AA needs to convert some 737-800's to ER/ETOPS

Tomorrow is the dedication for the new JFK terminal (not the opening, just the dedication). I've been informed that Aprey and Mayor Bloomberg will be in attendance. Wouldn't be surprised to see this announced then.

If Gerard is showing up there goes the upgrades to/from DFW and the JFK managment team will be escorting instead of doing their jobs

Not here, but on airliners.net the rumor has been going around since yesterday. The OP over there calls it "informed speculation". See, a.net isn't that off, all the time.

certainly a very interesting option, and would take traffic away from BA s great to avoid the LHR terminal shuffle/connection nightmare. let's see if it really happens.

Indeed. I'm definitely not 100% on this one. I believe if it is going to happen, it will be announced tomorrow by GJA at the JFK terminal intro.

I guess AA is in a race with CO to see who can find the smallest airports in europe to serve. What's next St. Neots?

all these messages, and no one said "coals" yet?

long ago Newcastle was a center of coal mining.

not sure what they have nowadays. BT had their annual meeting there once.

presumably this would be 757 service, as BOS-SNN/MAN.
