Rupert Everett (British Airways Lounge London)
Elton John (Toronto British Airways Lounge)
Jodie Foster (Air Canada Lounge Toronto)
Brian Singer (Air Canada Lounge Vancouver)

Anna Nicole Smith was on my flight down to SYD last march, does she count? Howard and Danny as well as a large entourage were with her, she was the only one in 1st class...

Tom Cruise!

Sorry. My mistake.

Tom loves women. He thinks they're pretty. He loves the way they smell.

Did I forget to say that Tom Cruise loves women?

I saw Stefano Gabbana in Milano on the via Montenapoleone, the shopping street with all the fancy boutiques. (guess he was checking out the competition...)
I first saw him from behind, he was dressed simple in jeans, black coat and green sneakers, and my first thought was, wow, beautiful black coat. I didn't know it was him at that time, so I wanted to take a look at the face of this 'well dressed man'. Went right next to him, and saw the face, was in slight disbelief, and turned back to look once more, and he gave me a little dirty look, probably thinking, pu-leez. He was talking on his telefonino, he has a sexy voice!

I know she is not gay, but saw Sophia Loren on a BA flight from SFO-LHR. She was in FIRST, i was in Club World, unfortunately. The CW steward didn't even know she was on board, he had to ask his colleagues downstairs if it was her.

Saw Billie Jean King years ago at the Admiral's Club at O'Hare. I very rarely say anything to celebrities that I see while traveling - have no desire to do so. But I did go up to her and said "Excuse me, may I have a word?" She looked me up and down (the nutcase test, I assume) and said "yes". So I said that I admired her for being a role model for the gay community. She thanked me and that was that.

Well, I almost waited on Babs and James Brolin at the Ritz one morning. She counts for this thread, obviously!

My cousin was visiting and I had taken the morning off so didn't have my regular "breakfast/brunch" Sunday morning station. (I usually got the front station with the private dining room. Because I am so fabulous, of course. ) So I watched from the back of the dining room.

I am not really much of a groupie when it comes to celebs but I sure would have liked to wait on her.

If there was a "CELEBRITIES THAT YOU WISH WERE GAY SIGHTINGS" thread. I would put Pierce Brosnan on it. What a gentleman. **sigh** Tall, lanky, sort of lopes wwhen he walks, haggard and masculine face (smoker's face, I think) and lots of grey hair mixed in. Very, very masculine. Good tipper, too. His wife was a big, fat, mean cow. Not that I noticed.

Sat next to/across Portia De Rossi at a tiny breakfast table at The Mercer in on Jan. 1, 2003 (she was with her friend). She was wearing a white tank top, and dark grey sweats. She looked like she hadn't slept at all, her eyes were going to bleed, and was wearing clearish sunglasses with a beautiful greasy bedhead look. She was absolutely gorgeous.

I never thought of myself as really being star struck by anyone until seeing her in person. Her beautiful face lierally took the wind out of me when she sat down. I had to work very hard not to be unseemly.

I didn't recognize her gf, but looked very much like Penelope Cruz.

I saw him in Rio as well, although he was wearing a shirt at the time. Still not a pretty picture, though...

P.S. I think he can be very entertaining on the show at times (or at least when I last watched it two years ago)

My partner and I were coming back from Paris on LH (in 1st, natch), we had come out to the gate from the fab new FRA lounge and all of a sudden this blond mop gets escorted onto the plane with his entourage in tow....I thought it was Rod Stewart, but the buzz quickly pinned it down to Barry Manilow. Barry sat right in front of us and he and his traveling posse were very nice. I only said two words to him at baggage claim...."take care" he said..."you too". Nearly the entire First Class cabin was gay!

Lucky for you... I saw him out at a Gay club "Bunker" in Rio with his shirt off and let's just say he was SKETCHY from top to bottom...

I saw Carson in Fire Island just when Queer Eye became a big hit. I must say he seemed to handle his new-found celebrity very well -- albeit with his shirt on!

PS I've heard a rumor that the interior decorator, Thom, is actually straight. Wouldn't that be a hoot!
