LOT not bad!

It's been a recent pleasure to experience LOT through United on recent travels (to include a trip to Krakow today) booked through UA and would recommend it to anyone travelling in Europe, especially the east. I've flown alot of European airlines and this one still seems to believe in some kind of friendly customer service. Very clean, comfortable planes. One drawback is their intra-Poland schedules.

Yes LO is a very good airline. Their trans-Atlantic services, however their trans-Atlantic operations need to be upgraded. But their planes are clean, the F/A's are friendly, and food is quite good. Also, their 763 legroom is very nice, I think it's a little bigger than E+.

I fly LOT often, since im studying out here in Krakow, and its a good airlines, but I prefer Lufthansa since their economy is a bit more roomer, and the days I fly out, they dont got a direct ORD-KRK flight. LOT overall is nice. the staff always were friendly to me, never had a problem when im hauling over-the-limit bags (only by a few kg). only downside is their business class. nowhere near compariable to UA or LH.

I flew FRA-GDN-FRA last spring and was quite impressed.

The return was on the new EMB-170.

The service and comfort was excellant.

Are there any Russian-built Turpolev's in LOT's fleet?

Nope, they have Boeing 763,762,737, EMB 170's, and ATR 172/175's.

wow...LH's economy is roomier than LO? That scares me...I didn't think there could be a more cramped feeling Y section than on LH.

But maybe it's the lack of PTVs or something.

Tupolev's are long gone from LOT. That said, I agree with the above that their service is quite fine. Their international C product could use some updating though...

heh, LH economy is roomy, if you book the asile seat in the middle row right behind where its 3 midle seats, and it goes to 4. row 27 or 28. I got to stick my legs way out (though tripped i think every person) If LO brought their C to the new age, I wouldnt think twice about flying them.

But I heard mileage earning on LO with UAMP sucks, though, unless you pay a premium for your tickets. Plus, no bonus RDM on the transatlantic segments for elites.

This must be quite a surprise for somebody normally flying UA, that some airlines actually clean their planes from time to time.........

OK, so LOT Y is roomier than UA E+, but it's not as roomy as LH Y?

Now that's really an oxymoron.

Or as they say in Hollywood: Nobody knows anything.
