Problems With Earning Style Option In My Way
Hello,
I keep selecting HHonors Points and Fixed Miles as my double dip earnings style option. I ask for a confirmation e-mail too.
I submit and the below message comes up. I never receive the e-mail and extra points credit instead of the requested 500 miles per stay. This seems to be the case for all of my stays since February.
Any ideas how to fix this (HHonors has not responded to my e-mail yet)?

I posted about this problem in a previous thread about a month ago.
It took me 5 emails and a couple phone call to get this resolved over a period of at least a month.
For awhile I would just send an email to the DD after a stay and say, "I selected Points+Points for this stay but was incorrectly credited Points+Miles, please credit me with Points+Points." Along with an explination of what was happening on the HH site and could they please fix it.
I would get a response back saying it was fixed (all future stays would rec'v P+P). Of course the next stay I would still get Points+Miles and then I would send another email.
The only positive out of this was that I got Points+Points+Miles for four out of the five stays that I had when I was experiencing this issue.
The last time it happened, I sent my normal email but was not given the Points+Points, but the HH website problem was fixed.
So I considered we were even and was just glad that the problem was fixed.
Just keeping emailing and calling and requesting what you actually selected.

Wow, This is quite the problem evidently. I will call HHonors to see if it is quicker than email response time.

In my own little variation on a theme I noticed today that sometime over the weekend my option was changed to Points and Variable Miles. I didn't ask for this change so it looks like we all had better be vigilant.

I've had the same problem.... and not resolved. Phoned and phoned the diamond desk... and still can't fix it.
I won't put up with it... if they can't credit my stays... and won't fix them, they'll lose a good customer.
