Sweet. I've always wanted one. I'll send Mr. Stillwell an email right now (his email address is publically posted on there)!

Its also interesting how FEW 340 are for sale..... just 3? BOH is going to love that.......

Also see the 777-300 ranges in price from $210 mill to $234 Mill... I wonder how bad AC will discount to get rid of the 345's

Maybe SQ will take them. They just placed a big order for some Airbus a/c including MORE 380's.

BTW why is no one flying tonight?. I'm up here in the YUL MLL about to board the 866 to LHR and the place is completely deserted. ITN also showed the flight as having J9 availabilty earlier today. I guess its down to vacation season.

Yah and SQ also ordered the 350..... and it looks like the 350 are a replacement for the 777...???? are they? the 350 is much larger than the 787 and the 350-1000 is the same seating as the 777-300.

Yep, looks like the 777's are obsolete already and due for replacement. Wonder when AC's 777's will get on the "For Sale" website

First 777 delivery is in March (777-300ER). It is conceivable that AC, if it can unload the 340-500s early, could go with 340-300s for a couple of months. AC does not get a 777-200LR until the summer, and may not use the 777-300ER on YYZ-HKG. The 773 would have to a payload penalty or make a refueling stop on that route.

SQ has more class than that, I don't think they are interested in hand me downs. It is in a league of it's own. Now a good contender would be VARIG !!!

It even predates July 3rd. The ACE 2005 annual report that came out early this year indicated the two A345s were slated for disposal within two years, and the balance of the A343s well before the end of their lease termination in 2009.

Looks like the A350-900 is going to be a slaveship compared to a 787.

Here's the comparative data apparently provided by SQ to Speednews:

Seating:
A350-900 787-800
314 250 (in 3 class)
Length
210' 206'

If the A350-900 is just 4' longer than a 787-800, I can't imagine how/where the extra 64 pax are going to be seated. Either the 787-800 is fitted with a higher ratio of premium seats or the A350-900 is going to feature 10-abreast in the back.

RIght now, the new new new new new A350 is still very much a paper plane yet to be actually designed and won't be in service for another 6 years.

Has AC got any 777-200 coming? Continental has 777 nonstop to HKG from NYC I think? [i see the ads in Hong Kong everywhere... but i cant remember where the plane starts]
So some 777 must have the range?.. other the the 777-200LH
