Some hilarious announcements from MCO this morning

Picked my wife up at IAD from her trip to visit her relatives in FL and asked her how the airport experience was.

She said MCO was very empty (and having never flown out of there on a Monday, I don't know how typical that is). Then she said they were making several PA announcements repeatedly:

You are not permitted to bring water or other beverages past the security checkpoint. You may purchase beverages from vendors and restaurants once past the checkpoint, but you will not be permitted to bring them onboard your flight.

If you purchase a bagel with cream cheese, you will not be permitted to bring the bagel onto your flight.

My wife said a teenager sitting next to her in the gate area said, "The world must be coming to an end if they're banning cream cheese."

Fortunately I take my bagels with butter and thus should have no issues! ^ ...now if they banned citrus...

To me, the scariest part of all this nonsense is that we, as a country, are all going along with it. We may complain among ourselves and attempt some feeble resistance here and there, but no matter how ridiculous it gets, we go along. I am flying international later in the week, and I am sure that I, too, will go along.

None of this stupid siht has made us one bit safer, and we're told that if we don't agree, we are on the side of the terrorists.

Insanity.

Wait a sec, what if I scrape the cream cheese off the bagel? Will I be able to carry it?

Absolutely not! One side of the bagel may have a chemical component in the nooks and crannies while the other half of the bagel may have another chemical that will create an explosion when the two halves are pressed together. Dry bagels only please!

his Dunkin Donuts jelly dounts past security. He at all
three of them right there at the check point.(and ruined his clean dress shirt in the process)
