It took awhile, but last week I was contacted and offered a free Senseo. I had to pay $15 for shipping and handling, and they request that I complete a survey after I get the machine.
I paid the fee and expect it to arrive any day now.
Yay!

Well, after having the Senseo for a week or so now, I have to say that I'm prepared to go back to my regular coffee maker as soon as the free supply of pods is gone. Why? First off, I checked out the cost of those little suckers in the store -- outrageous (approx. $4 for 18 pods). And THEN I discovered that in order to make a real sized cup of coffee (8 oz) you have to use TWO of them! So that's $4 for 9 mugs of coffee. Ridiculous! Plus, who wants all of that foam on just a regular old cup of joe? Not me... Maybe someone else is all gung ho about it, but I have to say, it's not my cup of tea, er, coffee.

Agree, the supplied coffee pots are overpriced and bad tasting. However, you can make your own pods out of regular coffee filters. Just cut a little pouch about the same size as a pre-made pod and fill it with coffee, but just grind your coffee a lot more fine than you normally would. Insert and enjoy. Seems to work OK.

I received an email a few weeks ago saying that if I was still interested, I could sign up, and pay the $15 S&H. I did, and received it yesterday. I'll try it next week.
