Pizza chains: Which do you prefer?
I used to swear by Pizza Hut (old habits are hard to change). However, I may have converted to Papa John's. I prefer their thin crust over PH's and I like the flavor of the sauce better.

I don't eat much pizza these days, but if I had to choose, I would say Pizza Hut for value. don't like Pizzeria Uno's franchise stores and don't like Domino's. Giordano's and Bacino's are good, but they aren't national chains, so PH would be my choice. They have good salads, too.

Lou Malnati’s in the Chicago area for sure.

I’ve enjoyed the pizza from La Rosa’s while visiting my brother’s family in Cincinnati.

I love pizza so I wouldn’t turn down Pizza Hut or Domino’s if someone else ordered it.
I will ALWAYS try a local pizza joint before the national chain.

Willie - Here's a second for Malnati's,,,,that "buttercrust" is very hard to beat....
But if you want to go local, I still think that the Lincoln Ave Ranalli's "double decker" is among the finest pies I've ever had!!
Best wishes, Dave

When I was in college it was whoever had the best coupon!
Now it's usually Pizza Hut, I like their thick crust pizza. I Also like their pepperoni lovers pizza.
I used to do mainly Papa John, I like their garlic butter thingy that they include for crust dipping but I don't think their pizza is any different than dominos. I don't understand the pickled pepper that's included though.
Here in Seattle I've had Pagliacci which seems ok. I'll sometimes swing by for a late night slice when I'm really hungry.

The best national chain pizza is Papa John's IMHO. They have soft, pillowy crust, and lots of sauce. Limited topping selection but I think that is the case with all national chains.
In Atlanta, the best local chain has got to be Mellow Mushroom. Delicious crust (not entirely white - it has some whole wheat), well-spiced sauce which is made on the premises, and a ton of different toppings. The menu is big and offers a lot more than just pizza, something for everyone.

There's an excellent "chain" here in PDX called Pizza Schmizza. Thin, crispy crust -- not that yucky stuff from Pizza Hut, Dominos, et al.
And they deliver!!!
I usually hit the walk-up window around the corner from the Fox Tower 10 cinema. Cheese is $2.25/slice, Pepperoni $2.75/slice, everything else $3-$3.25. Nice sliced-shaped To-Go boxes keep it fresh and reasonably warm until you get to a park or the office.

We like thin crusts and for a couple of years we ordered Dominos thin crusts.
Now we have converted to Papa Johns and like it a lot -- we've been ordering theirs for 1 1/2 years probably.
I used to like Round Table, but they never have good coupons, so I haven't bothered trying the one near my house.
