This year I hit 204,000.

I use mine often to upgrade myself and friends when we go on trips. Rarely do I redeem them for free travel. (Though I'm doing that for me and a friend for a weekend SEA-SFO trip for 15K miles each...)

ZOINKS! Why bank all those miles? Hoping that they're going to add a small country to Mileage Plus Auctions?

90% of my BIS miles are transpac, and 100% of my fares are Y. So I use them to upgrade -- spent 180,000 this year. Current balance < 40,000.
