So who here has the most miles stashed away?

A friend of mine has 3mm sitting in his account, and refuses to touch them... He flies as as an EXP all the time, alwayas on full-fare F-class tickets paid for by clients. He seldom travels for leisure, and thus seldom touches his mileage.

When watching the NBC special: "American Airlines: Behind the Scenes," an investment banker was shown who had about 31mm, and he was quoted as perhaps having the most mileage stashed away in the entire Advantage system!

Does anyone in here come close? If you wish, and you feel you can compete, post your redeemable mileage balances here!

I will refrain since I know I am of no competition. I only switched over to AA from UAL this past November, and I have 35,071 right now.

***Finally: for those of you who are well endowed, what do you plan on doing with them? There is a saying... your miles can't be taken to the grave (or can they???)

I wish the moderators would ban the OP.

He has been audited by AA and UA for violating ToS. He is unapologetic. He is a disgrace to the forum and can only bring prying eyes this way. (Can we at least keep him from CC?)

I am sorry if I have offended anyone. However, please look at any thread I have started... every last one was made in the pure nature of chatting about flying! I am not here to offend anyone... I have been open about a few things and that is all!

I am sorry if you are bothered by this... I felt these stories may have been interesting to you guys, otherwise I never would have shared them.

I really hope I can be accepted in this board, as my reason for being here is exactly the same as yours... I do not bring any hostility whatsoever, I just want to chat.

In regard to my issue with AA, which was brought back to light... it has been totally resolved.

Thanks.

Now of course, this forum is not about me... so moving on to high numbers...

Hang in there. You'll be spending before you know it

I had 800,000 miles on line with UA before they went into bankruptcy. You never saw so many happy relatives as I burned those miles off and moved the bulk of my flying to AA.

One reason I don't keep my balance that high now is devaluation. UA, for instance, just raised award levels for all classes of tickets to Australia. Although we haven't seen any recent increases from AA, they do reserve the right to change things down the line, just as UA recently did. I'd hate to have a million or miles in account the day the award levels go up.

Last year I did separate award tickets to Australia and New Zealand, and in 2007 I'm already ticketed to Hong Kong and Australia, just to keep my balances in a more reasonable range. I burned off 80,000 miles tonight ticketing my sister and her husband to Ireland. I'm happy with the number of miles currently in my account.

I wish I had a boatload of miles, but I just started with AA last year. I am only 15% of my way to reaching Platinum elite for life. My first flight of 07 is tomorrow. I'll earn about 2,000 miles!

While you personally cannot take them to the grave, you may be able to get one last set of miles if your casket is shipped on AA and you are listed as a passenger (tho seating will be in a reclining position in cargo which may be under First class).

Your miles at least on AA are accepted as part of your estate and can be transferred to an heir or other designate per the will (per the AAdvantage Terms and Conditions this is not a guarantee but is currently common practice at AA tho may change on a case by case basis). And these transferred miles count into the Lifetime miles or the recipient.

And NO to the OP . you can be part of my will.

This question is about as useful as "How much is your house worth?" or "How much do you give to charity?" or "What is the value of your 401(k)?"

About 915K, after using 180K for 4 FC awards to bring some family members out to the Bay Area for Thanksgiving (who says SAAver awards are hard to get).

Cheers.

Unless the OP is planning on starting up another website/personal assistant service to serve the 'well endowed (airmiles) [OPs phrase]' on how to get even more miles .. or something that might lock THEIR accounts ...

SoYouHave500KMiles.com might be coming soon?

OP has the posts now required for Coupon Connection and even the longevity! WOOHOO!

Please don't contribute to this "chatty" thread. The OP's stated plan from another thread is

After being dinged a few times for selling coupons/upgrades etc, just maybe the OP is looking to find who has large AA mileage balances and might be willing to trade/sell some of their miles so that the OP's new venture can gather some speed.

So to the OP: I have a mileage balance of ~2,000,000 miles, am in desperate need of cash, and have an IQ below room temperature. Will you PM me or should I PM you?

If I am totally wrong and this is all on the up-and-up, I thought only pubescent boys compared to see who was
