IAD-PEK e-blast...who forgot to supervise the intern?? =)
I broke out laughing at this one...
Sentence #1 talks about carp, sentence #2 tells you to fly UA to PEK. Not exactly a smooth segue...

Atleast I'm interning at Mesa...wasn't me...I would have wrote it as
"Carp...the premiere symbolism in China for success! At United, persistence and determination has brought us our own kind of Carp! With our new daily nonstop service from Washington Dulles to Beijing commencing March 28, 2007! Come and Fly United today!"
but I work for Mesa so

Maybe the connection is a subtle message describing UA's opinion of its PAX:
carp intr.v. , carped , carping , carps . To find fault in a disagreeable way; complain fretfully.
