Chase MP: 5x RDM for 3mo on Gas/Groceries/Food/Hotel
A buddy of mine got a mailer today that offered him 5x miles from now until 9/30/07 on all gas, groceries, dining, and hotel lodging purchases on his MP visa. It appears targeted as it has a personalized "web enrollment code." Anyone else get this?
Anyone find a way around the targetting? I think I'm going to call Chase and play dumb to see if I can get in on this...

It's a mailer, not an email. I received a 5X miles offer for every eligible dollar spent above $450 each month in the hotel lodging category until 9/30/07. I guess Chase noticed I don't charge my hotel stays on the MP card.

I got the same offe for my Chase Platinum card, but no mention of 5x miles for groceries, etc.

I got this offer as well. Its nice. But, the terms say 10,000 max bonus points so this caps out with $2000 in spending. FYI.

I guess they are really doing focused marketing on this one...

Pattern seems to be that people who don't use the card much are getting the offers....There's no way around the targeting either- the offer is tied directly to your Chase acct#.

Her CHASE MP Visa card was actually cancelled by me 2 months ago when we decided that we no longer need that card. (Too many MP visa cards already.
)I tried to register my card with her enrollment code and it worked.

The weird part of this is they ask for the first 6 numbers of my credit card to register. It made me wonder if someone was phishing for my cc number.

Why was I not subjected to a threshold amount? Maybe because I have never used the card for groceries or gas? But I do charge a few hundred dollars a month on average on hotel and dining.
