Delta safety card tab colors

Yes, I know this is an unusual subject, but I have been wondering about the colors of the tabs on the safety cards on Delta's aircraft. Here is what I know:
  • MD-88 - Gray
  • MD-90 - ?
  • 737-800 - Yellow
  • 757 - Violet
  • 767-300 Domestic - White
  • 767-300ER - ?
  • 767-400ER - Gold
  • 777-200ER - Silver

I don't know about the safety cards on the 767-300ERs, they might be the same as the domestic 767-300s. Do the ex-Gulf Air aircraft have their own version?

Also, as a bonus, the ones on the 767-200s were green.

The current safety cards still feature the old logos. I would imagine that they will eventually be updated with the new logos with the ex-TWA 757s entering service, which have a different exit layout from Delta's other 757s.

Here is the new color scheme I would choose:
  • MD-88 - Brown
  • MD-90 - Teal
  • 737-800 - Yellow
  • 757-200 - Violet
  • 757-200 ex-TWA - Orange
  • 767-300 Domestic and non-Gulf Air 767-300ER - Green
  • 767-300ER ex-Gulf Air - Blue
  • 767-400ER - Pink
  • 777-200ER/200LR - Red

I was just thinking yesterday while looking at the 737-800 safety tri-fold and noted a "3" inside a circle. I had not paid that close of attention before. Do others have a different number? Does the number signify anything in particular?

Perhaps we are spending too much time sitting waiting for our assigned gate at ATL.

The 3 is the third issue of the safety card.

Also, the 727-200s had a blue tab for their colour. Delta Express 737-200s had green as their colour. I believe the 767-300 ERs are white also. The 767-300 Gulf Airs do have to have a separate card as the exit configuration is completely different.

I know the 763 Gulf Airs have a separate card, but never noticed the color.

OK, I admit I have no idea, but ... while on the subject of useless safety card trivia, If anyone ever happens to fly in a Gulfstream V, you will find my likeness pictured on the safety card

  • MD-88 - Gray
  • MD-90 - ?
  • 737-300 - Orange v1
  • 737-800 - Yellow v2
  • 757 - Violet v3
  • 767-300 Domestic - White v3
  • 767-300ER - Peach? v4
  • 767-300ER(G) - Orange v4
  • 767-400ER - Gold v3
  • 777-200ER - Silver v2

Keep forgetting to 'look' at MD-80's and 90's when I board since they are few and far between. What about the RJ's

Smile More Colors

I have seen:

MD-90 = Pink v2

For Delta Connection:

ComAir
CRJ40/CRJ50 - Green (or Purple = older)
CRJ70 - White (or Yellow = older)

ASA
CRJ200 - Gold

Shuttle America (Republic?)
ERJ170 - Grey cover (not a border)

Hope this helps!

It is real I have most of the cards, I mean I have seen most of the cards on the planes myself. Take a look next time you fly one of them fine jets (if the emergency card is still in the seat back pocket in front of you)

It was my understanding that each seat is supposed to have the card. I can't remember where I read it, but there was a flight that was cancelled because not every seat had the card and the FAs did not have enough extras.

FAA says that while every seat should have a safety card, the minimum is 1 card per row in special circumstances.

Here are some other colors:
L-1011: Red
L-1011-500: Light aqua
MD-11: Medium blue (lighter than 727 blue)

I would be interested to know what a 757 ex-TWA card looks like--both in color and design (new logo?).
