International Expansion Announcement Next Week

In Richard Anderson's weekly employee recording today (Friday), Richard says, "Delta will announce significant international expansion next week".

He then went on to say, he will be in NYC next week to meet with various parties on the Terminal 2 and 3 situation.

So I guess next week is the week we will find out what Delta has in store for 2008.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Coincides nicely with the DOT announcing China awards next week and the JFK summer schedule requirement next month.

Why does JFK have a schedule "REQUIREMENT" next week for mid 2008?

DL would likely gets big announcement more International Expansions in JFK hub. I know DL will free up some 763ER continuations more International expansion for CAI, NBO and other. I assume if DL will expanded more room in terminal 2 or 3 parked by 763ER. DL will inaugurate some European cities by ex-TWA 757 without payload restrictions.

When I was in Croatia this week, I heard rumors that Delta may start flying to ZAG.

The Croatian economy is improving with leaps and bounds in this 4.5M country who are looking at joining EU in 2009, which is ironic as their GNP per person is higher than both Rumania and Hungary both of whom are EU members.

Currently there are no US flights and with OU being near full member of *A and not having equipment to fly TA and with other *A being happy to provide connecting gateways in VIE and FRA, this could be a great move and a good future investment for DL

JFK is becoming a stage 2 airport, so they have to have the final schedules done in October some time.

I think that I have heard DL will put ex-TWA 757 is:

JFK-HEL
JFK-LYS if DL will ever reinstated once again but, I remember DL has been discontinuation due to low-yield. It wasn't profitable for JFK-LYS is terribly loaded.
JFK-GLA
JFK-ARN
JFK-CAI
JFK-NBO
JFK-LED
JFK-GVA
JFK-NAP
JFK-ZAG

There is something else more specific good routes will be taken ex-TWA 757 or 763ER some bigger cities in EU. DL should be good enough for ex-TWA 757 some European cities. I'm concerned about DL will gets more new international flights next week.

DL is already previously announced for JFK-TLV while ago but, DL will inaugurate flight on March 10, 2008. I know DL will put on equipment is 763ER without payload restrictions.

i wish LYS would come back, its such a great city. coach was always full, but i guess there wasnt enough higher yielding business traffic per fred reid.

those other routes would be awesome.

id prefer to see split v zagreb, but hey its good enough!

If this is true, then we only have one week left to guess. I'm going to guess some unusual routes to be started. In addition to all of the NBO, LYS, ARN, CAI that everyone is predicting, I can see DL starting:

JFK-VLC (Valencia, Spain)
JFK-NUE (Nuernberg, Germany)
JFK-AMN (Amman, Jordan)
JFK-EZE (Has been mentioned long time before. I wonder why it hasnt been started yet?)
JFK-KWI (Kuwait)
JFK-WAW/KRK (Warsaw and/or Krakow)
JFK-NAP (Naples, Italy)

Those are my guesses as to some of the upcoming routes. We'll see in a week if I got any right!

No, DL was filing to DOT while ago they never began for JFK-EZE years ago. I surely if DL will gets reapplies again for JFK-EZE. It would be good possibility more demand both direction. It doesn't happening again from DL is currently in progress more extremely times.

How do you expect a 757 to make it to any of those cities except GVA and ARN, and maybe HEL?

Yep, sure did. DL has being reinstated to ARN. I assume why DL has been dropped JFK-ARN after 9/11 attacks. It was operated on 763ER go for ATL-ARN. I'm sure DL will done very extremely well. I will find out more specific information next week from DL.

No, I think DL will operated on 763ER but, there is no 777 aircraft for this time. Because DL will fly someplace different entirely cities. If DL wins for China services they have to put on 772ER or 772LR in 2008. You should have wait to see which specific routes will be taken. Hope you will understandable from DL is in progress. Thanks!
