Ok Friends... the esteemed Mr. Dhammer has announced the date for the Brooklyn Reality Tour in another thread.

So comes another tradition of that weekend...

What happens the evening before the BRT Friends?

The FIFTH Soup DO!!!!

Le Date: Friday, June 20, 2008
Le Time: 8pm. NOTE: this is NOT etched in stone. If you want it earlier let me know.
Le Place: But of course... La Bonne Soupe on West 55th Street
Las Reservations:

5a: A party of 20 under the name Mark or Catman. The restaurant's back room can accomodate a party of 20 tops.

5b: Special guests table for a Party of twelve also under the name Mark or Catman.

(Sunnyhere is better at writing in French. I can only write "Miau" and "Le Chat!" )

For about $17 U.S. (before tax and tip) you can get a nice three course meal. There are other specials on the menu and I may do something other than soup this time!

The good news is that I do NOT have Theatre tickets or a date or any special engagement that evening. I will finish my Cat sitting work early to get to the restaurant early for meet and greet.

Well, let me take back the "no date" part. I will have a date with some special Flyertalk friends... some long time (hate the word OLD) and hopefully making some new ones.

I can't promise you a Functacular. La Bonne Soupe is not a wild and crazy bar (they do have Newcastle and some decent wines and beers.)

But I can promise a nice easy going evening where everyone gets a chance to contribute and talk and maybe make a new friend or two.

If I can get a good crowd early I'm going to try for the secret private room. That way we can talk and be heard!

And this time the only camera coming is the digital one I got for Christmas! (If you want to know what this means look up the last Soup Do thread... the one in honor of the San Diego 1K's.)

Oh... REPEAT SOUPERS are welcome and encouraged.

I have NOT had to do waitlisting yet. We always get about two dozen people each gathering. I don't know if we'll ever get a crowd of Catman DO Trois proportions (I fear the thought!(

(the only waitlisting I had to do are for Cat sitting clients who don't reserve two months out for holiday weekends!)

I might be interested in this. I can't confirm quite yet but you've definately peeked my interest. BTW, I love the 8PM start time. It gives me plenty of time to come in from Jersey without having to leave my office early.

La Bonne Soupe is sooooooooooo yummy!!! The fondues (cheese and chocolate) are really good, don't get carried away with the soup!

So jealous that you guys will be there and I will be here. Pour a little soup out for me!
