New reward chart?

Hi Guys,

I did a quick search and found no one mentioning it. Is there a new reward chart for Delta?

Take a look at http://www.delta.com/skymiles/use_mi...eage/index.jsp

Most notable is domestic first class has dropped to 40,000 miles, but business class to Europe is now 120,000 miles.

This looks new to me. It used to be a pdf with details about SkySaver/SkyChoice.

120k in J to Europe. Not worth it to me from the East Coast. That's an Africa/Asia redemption level. For my redemption history, it is not nearly offset by 40k domestic F. (You'd need a ratio of 6 domestic F trips per Europe J trip to be even on the difference.)

I can't believe they'd just throw this out there unannounced, but then again, I can.

By the way, I'm finding awards online at traditional rates. Not sure what's going on with this.

Anyone have a copy of the old reward chart?

It looks like South America has been reduced to between 70,000 to 90,000 for business class.

I tried booking a trip to DUS in November, and it still showed 90K miles BE. Is the chart a sign of things to come, or a mistake?

Perhaps this might explain why there's still a difference and/or no official announcement just yet.....

Technology Tune-up

On Sunday, April 27, 2008, delta.com will be out of service for about 3 hours—starting at 1am ET—while we do some scheduled maintenance. We're sorry if this will cause you any inconvenience.

So I am a little nervous with the wording "starting at".... Here comes the 3rd tier and I guess we will be able to determine soon if this is another "enhancement"

Now it says starting at 120,000 . . . that's a lot for a JFK to europe run! especially since BE isn't really first!

Wow, 120K to Europe... I am glad I booked my two J tickets at the 90K mark for a trip in November... 240K for two J class tickets would have totally sucked!

That's the same as on the old chart.

It's interesting that they haven't posted an award chart for flights between zones not including the continental US/Alaska/Canada. One suspects that mileage increases are quietly being made there also.

No joke. They've also made a related "improvement" to the terms and conditions: "Travel to all destinations within region may not be available at minimum mileage rate." So they could decide that travel to Alaska, for example, actually costs 50,000 miles even though the region is priced at half that.

120k for DL BE to Europe? That'd be quite the enhancement! Big if they actually plan to go through with this change.

Delta definitely intends to go through with these kind of devaluations.
