TSA (Trans.Security Admin) damages 14 AE aircraft

Our friends at the Transportation Security Administration decided to see if they could gain access to AE aircraft while they were sitting overnight in ORD. The brilliant employees used an instrument located just below the cockpit window that is critical to the operation of the onboard computers. They decided this instrument, the TAT probe, would be adequate to use as a ladder.

BRILLIANT!!

Below is just a couple of the write-ups. They damaged a total of 14 AE airplanes

I'd love to see their "justification" for this one.

We, um, heard that turrists were getting employed as baggage handlers, and um, they could get out to the tarmac, so, we, uhh wanted to see if they could break into planes and, you know, like fly away with them. We had to try it 14 times to be thorough. So, give us some more money because we're keeping you safe.

There's even a helpful sign on these probes that say "No Step".

One more reason that this un-American, idiotic agency should be destroyed and its leaders sent to prison.

When questioned about the actions of his screeners, Edmund "Kip" Hawley crowed, "I'm proud of our officers. That's 14 planes that won't be used by terrorists."

A relative of Kip's perhaps? Certainly the IQ level would match.

AE should have TSA pay for the damages and additional compensation for the time the planes were out of service.

Yep, I can see that coming.

How in the world is TSA going to spin this one? "After our highly-successful operation..."

Idiots.

When I saw the title I figured their undercover investigators resisted arrest and threw grenades when accosted by ramp workers...

Wouldn't a potential ground crew terrorist have been working for years underground as a ground crew member and know all the things you should and should not do to gain access to an aircraft? Compare this with the a$$-from-a-hole-in-the ground TSA employees who have no clue what's going on. What terrorist organization would be so foolish to try to breach an aircraft in the assinine way that this "operation" was intended to mimic?

What a bunch of major league caliber retards.

I'm no rocket surgeon, but why didn't they just use the main (1L) or 1R hatch? They don't lock.

Clearly. They're (unfortunately) more successful at their jobs.

Cheers.

Isn't damaging an aircraft a federal crime?
