List of UA's A320 Ted Paint/Interior Conversions

Following on what bmvaughn is doing for the 737/747 groundings I thought it would be appropriate to start a thread that tracked the A320's progress in having the interiors converted and repainted back to mainline colors. I am happy to update the list here, but would love it if people could help posting the flight aware tracking, and tail numbers so I can update the post.

List of UA's A320 Ted Paint/Interior Conversions

Wondering if anyone has flown on a repainted Ted plane; I don't believe reconfigurations have started yet.

I was considering starting to track the paintings - considering that there have been a few A320s that have been sent to ROW recently....

I believe the original announcement said that won't start until spring.

They won't repaint until it is absolutely neccessary (i.e., D check)

I would hope that they repaint the rest of the gray birds first.

Paint is completely unrelated to D-checks. They are done on a different schedule at different locations by different companies.

Flew one last Thursday between PHX and DEN. I first thought it was a substitution so asked the gate agent if there was first class but it wasn't the case. Just a normal TED aircraft with the new paint scheme.

Was that flight 1438, 1496, 1450, 1458, 1434 or 1466?

I'm planning to look up the flight in ACARS to see if I can find the tail number

Any chance you want to start/maintain a 32S to 320 conversion thread (or Wiki) like the 737 thread? I'll keep an eye one ROW for 9800-9999 flights

Unfortunately 1434 isn't in ACARS. Any chance you caught the tail number?

Considering it... but going to concentrate on one tracking thread at a time Not to mention that I rarely fly Ted routes...

Sorry, didn't catch the tail # when I flew last Thursday. Will keep my eye open to see if they have the same one this week.

well you may have answered a question....

On October 10 I flew UA 1510 SFO to PHX and as we were leaving we had a mechanical (pilot door would not lock) and they had to sub in a plane. Luckally they can grab another aircraft at SFO so we were only an hour and half late.

So I show up for my return flight same day, UA 1586 and when I get to the gate plane is the new blue color scheme (which by the way is butt ... ugly...., it looks better in ted colors), since I am 1K and was in an exit row, I went up and ask the GA if I had gotten a seat switch (figuring they had substituted in a mainline plane and I've gotten a free bump when this has happend before as they do by status). She just look confused and when I boarded it was Ted inside.

So I thought, boy is that weird, am I seeing things...

and on a hot day, it was nice to get a water, then coffee, then more water and think.... boy am I glad I'm not on US
