5000 Point Platinum Bonus?
Anyone else just see a 5000 point platinum bonus pop up out of the blue? I booked a reservation the other day and it just showed up in my profile out of the blue. Is this some promotion that I forgot I signed up for, or is this some other thing going on?

Just curious, always nice to get free points, especially 5k for not even staying in a hotel, but curious

It was a code posted some time ago in the Promo's thread.

The 5,000 points just mysteriously appears in your account at random a few weeks later, not linked to any stay. I got mine in June.

I can confirm that I got the same exact mysterious bonus. I went thru and signed up for a ton of promo codes in September, so the timing is about what Raffles said: 5-6 weeks later.

Not linked to any stay. I haven't even made a reservation in the last few weeks. These points are truly "bonus".

Have you had a 2-night weekend stay at an IC in NYC, Boston, Baltimore or Washington? There was a 5,000 bonus for stays 1.7-28.12.08. Bonus said to take up to 6 weeks to post.

Nope, never stayed in that area

I'm guessing as they said, it was a bonus that just pops up...

I like little surprises like this LOL

My 2 night w/e night stay in NYC 5000 bonus posted 11 days after stay...but I did not receive the 5000 Bonus that you are all so happy about.....

Code for this is 6186 by the way. I was able to register for it on a different account just now so it may still work.
