Was wondering if this could be turned into a MR.

Checked some of the one-way fares. They are as follows:

YYZ-LAX $206
YYZ-LAS $141

Hawaii
YYZ-KOA $304
YYZ-OGG $236
YYZ-HNL $236

Florida
YYZ-RSW $123
YYZ-FLL $120
YYZ-MIA $236
YYZ-MCO $120
YYZ-SRQ $150
YYZ-PBI $176

YYZ-HNL via YVR is particularly attractive. $582 all in for about 9600 status (all on AC metal, so all upgradeable) works out to 6 cpm.

Seems AC is speculating that fuel prices continue to fall, and if that is the case, we would be overpaying by purchasing April-June tickets now. Still hedging fuel, but now it's on the backs of the PAX.

Perhaps they are seeing a drop off in future sales as more and more PAX wait for prices to fall further? This sale is their response.

Thanks for the info MG. I just booked an Easter trip to LAS for the missus and me - all-in cost for the two of us was $800. I can't imagine seeing lower fares to Vegas between now and then.

Has anyone ever tried booking a trip using a promo code, then calling in within 24 hours to change the routing to something that couldn't be booked online? Do they increase the fare to pre-discount levels or do they keep the cost of the fare the same as what was issued online with the promo code?

My only issue is they give you only two days to book this. With my work it can take 4-5 days to figure out if I'd get those days off work, before I can go ahead and book the airplane tickets.

No, AC's just trying to build up liquidity for a healthy cash cushion on the downturn this winter.

At the expense of profit obviously.

But eh, priority is survival. Actually not bad for us customers.

I'd rather go to HNL right now, while it is $127 each way from YVR using 15% discount code: UQYT9CR1

Comes to $361 AI.

It will be $112 one way in the spring or $330 all in! At that price, you could treat yourself to 2 vacations/MRs!

I can't find that price at all right now. All seem to come in over $200 each way...

I could get those rates displayed for many dates. I didn't log in as SE when I made the test bookings. I tried early April.
