Yapta - Airfare Tracker/Monitor
This may end up over in Newsstand, but I thought I'd try it here since it is very much related to the redemption of miles.
Yapta, the website run by the former Director of Marketing for Alaska Air and best known for monitoring fares for specific trips and sending emails when they go down, will start monitoring reward availability on five carriers on Tuesday. And just like their fare drop emails they will send you an email when your desired reward seat opens up. This seems to be very similar to ExpertFlyer, though for a limited number of carriers and for free. The carriers are AS, CO, DL, UA and US. Most surprising to me is CO as they don't publish their availability in any GDSes that I know of.
More information about this here, here and in the Sunday Travel section of the NY Times.

Yapta
(Bolding mine)
The website is Yapta, as reported in NYT.
You probably need to ask MileBuzz! mod to fix the typo in your thread title. (Or can you edit the thread title in the fora that you are not moderating?)
Nevertheless, thanks for the headsup.
Delta is on the list of Yapta beta. Wondering if NW will be added soon due to the merge? (I know Skymiles and Worldperks are still independent from each other for the moment being.)

That would be a great service - I look forward to seeing how successful it is. Somehow I see US, at least, blocking access shortly.

I've corrected the typo in the title.

I have no idea. Perhaps a direct agreement with CO? Or there is some GDS out there that does provide access; I just don't know of it.
And, yes, the ANA site is great, but it doesn't email you when seats open up.
