1,000 Bonus Points for WN Chase CC Holders

Just received this promo today via a hardcopy mailer. An easy 1,000 bonus points just for watching a 2 minute on-line video on Rapid Rewards. You must be a WN Chase RR CC holder to register to receive the points. Not sure if this is targeted or not. My guess is that it is not targeted.

The details from the mailer:

"Go online to learn about your benefits
Get 1,000 Bonus Points!

Go online to learn just how easy it is to search and redeem for rewards.

Here's how it works:

1) Get 1,000 bonus points just for learning about your Rapid Rewards Program online at waymorerewards.com/bonuspoints

2) Watch the video online and then complete the registration page by November 1, 2011

That's 1,000 bonus points to use any way you want!

Learn about rewards at waymorerewards.com/bonuspoints

Edited to add:

Please contact Chase or Southwest, and not FlyerTalk admins, with any questions about obtaining these bonus points. Thanks. -- curbcrusher

I thought it was a strange question at the time, but chalk one up for InsideFlyer:

IF
What do you plan to do as an incentive to get people to watch the videos?

Herndon
We don't have any plans to incent folks, but hope that the content and the ability to answer questions will be incentive enough.

This is clearly not targeted, as it seems anyone can simply go to the home page of the SWA Monthly Reinforcements Website and go to school to get the 1,000 points (based on what the site promises).

Many thanks - Best find of the week!

An easy $16 (assuming you value points at $. 0167) x 2 cardholders

As a side note, it seem kind of odd that I get 4x more points for watching a 2-minute video twice than I did for 3 hours of flying OAK-LAS-OAK - welcome to RR 2.0

P.S. Got the email a day later so now I guess I am officially targeted

Wasn't it Herndon's team that created RR 2.0?

It is targeted, sort of. Watched the video and was denied credit with my SWA BUS card. It took the old regular card. The error said that I must use the account that was used with the promotion. I did not copy the error and when I went back to get it it would not load the page.

Looks targeted, watched the video and entered my information, received the following error message:
"The information you entered is not recognized. Please reference your printed offer."

Worked for me. My wife is an additional cardholder (so we have the same CC number) and I tried watching on her behalf. Didn't work for her:

"The information you entered is not recognized. Please reference your printed offer. Also remember that if you have multiple accounts, this promotion pertains only to the account number indicated by your offer."

Still 1,000 points for one of us is better than nothing!

Got 1000 pts for myself and 1000 for Mrs. baxterboy12. Thanks OP.

Data point: We each signed up for the personal RR Visa Signature Chase card in July.

Just watched the video twice and both times when I tried to enter my info to claim the points, the form is unfillable. Wasted 10 minutes of my time which really makes me want to check out what it is trying to sell. Way to go WN!

I got the offer by email, not mail. I have the Premier version of the Visa.

My wife has the regular card and she did not get the offer.
