Does anyone know if the E75s will be delivered with the same Y slimlines they're retrofitting the CR7s with?

If so - this will be a truly miserable ride on the 2-3 hour flights it will likely end up on.

Here's a few pics. Since I've not flown on the CR7's slimlines, you'll have to judge for yourself. I know that I didn't like these seats.

I certainly do like how the slim lines look. Much more modern looking. I haven't done a transcon in them to know how they are to sit in. I've done a few shorter flights on both UA and on LH and didn't find them that bad

Yeah...they will be bad, I'm assuming the same. The Airbii slimlines are bad...the CR7 slimlines are TRULY awful. Zero padding whatsoever; feels like it's brick behind your head. Don't be fooled by the contrast-color headrest...there's no "give" there.

Can you find data going back to 2010 before the shuffling of equipment began?

Also, a data set for sub-500 miles flight, 500-1500, and 1500+.

Then daily # of seats for domestic only with no stage length calculation involved? 1 SFO-EWR on 739 is the equivalent of almost 28x LAX-LAS on the CR7 or 14x SFO-PHX on CR2. Hard to gauge # of flights on specific equipment when stage length is included. IMO, it is the mid-cons [500-1500 miler flights] that are getting the most hit whereas flights over 1500 miles have seen a nice increase of mainline flights.

Whoever says that erj175 looks anywhere near as comfotable as a mainline is really drinking the kool aid. That too me looks very claustrophobic!

Those are pictures of a CRJ-700.

Accusing those that disagree with an extreme and emotional position of drinking koolaid is unproductive.

Pretty sure they are pics of an ERJ-175 but I didn't take them so I can't be 100% sure. The CRJ has narrower windows.

With that being said I will take an E170/175 over a CRJ170 any day and I wouldn't have a problem taking one over a mainline if the timing is better. I really enjoy flying E170s so I'm looking forward to the additional 70 E175s, and my first flight on one in August.

I pretty much try to avoid 135/145/200s at all costs if possible.

That interior is definitely a EMB-175 especially since it has the EMB-175 safety card in the seat pocket. Plus there's a rear galley which the CR7s do not have.

I now have proof that no one looks at safety information cards anymore.

They are not a crj700. And for a 3 hour flight, i'll take the mainline as that picture looks a bit tight for my liking. These will be 100% better than any erj145, crj200. Major improvement, but 3 hour flights I'll take mainline.

Fact is, if domestic mainline fleet size is holding steady since last year (+- a few frames), and 50 seat RJs are being retired, it is not possible that more people are experiencing downsize from mainline to ERJ than the reverse. It's just not mathematically possible.
Mainline sUA 752s are retiring to FedEx.

Embraer 175 seats are 18 inches wide, while B738 seats are 17.2 inches wide.

I know, but look at those aisles and look at the cabin height. 3 hours, I'll take the 737 instead of the 175.

I'm with you on this. What were they thinking when they bought these things? That we wouldn't notice?

My first experience was on a C700 SFO-DFW in F, and I was miserable within the first hour. Granted, I have some neurological issues that can cause me pain when seated for long periods of time, but I'm not affected by the old seats they replaced. These are guaranteed torture for me. I dread seeing them when I board.

The E175 is such a fantastic aircraft that it will indeed be a shame if these seats are what they appear. My excitement about their entry into the fleet will immediately fade once I experience the same level of discomfort.

I fly E190s all the time within Latin America on Copa and Avianca. They are my personal favorite, and they have slimlines. They just managed to outfit them with much more comfortable versions than those which UA has purchased.
