Virgin to US Air Miles?
I have 41K Virgin miles. Can I use these miles for a US Air flight?

Appears so, as US Airways is still listed as a Partner Airline on the Virgin-Atlantic website.

Hi Thanks. I should have phrased it this way....
Has anyone converted VA miles into a US Air flight and if so, how is it done?
Thanks.

They're two very different things. Transferring the miles from one account to the other, while it may be possible, would result in a poor conversion rate, so you'd end up with many fewer miles once they reached a US account.
If you want to use Virgin miles to book a US flight, the best way to do it would be to call Virgin and tell them you'd like to redeem your miles for a ticket on US Airways. They'll handle it for you. If you want to know more about their process and how it works before you call, it's probably best to ask your questions in the Virgin Atlantic forum, as FlyerTalk members there may have had experience doing it. US members, using US miles, likely wouldn't.

Why would you waste 41k VS miles on a US flight?

Well, for starters we do not know what is her planned route. could be a domestic flight in F that only US operates nonstop...
to AZTr... the OP is trying to use Virgin miles for award travel on US/HP.

I guess it's a personal value thing, as I wouldn't trade 41k VS for any domestic US flight.

If your issue is purely keeping the miles alive, I'd come up with an alternative to burning 25K on a US ticket. Do you have an AMEX card (with Membership Rewards or Starwood Preferred Guest, for example), or some other card, with a mileage transfer option? If not, perhaps you get one and then transfer the minimum number of miles in order to have a qualifying activity to re-set the clock on your miles. If you get on it now, you'll have time to handle it before your August expiration date. You might check the credit card forums for more details.
