So, #TrumpBedBugs Is Trending And It’s Pretty Gross

Twitter trolls are out in full force after the president announced that the 2020 G-7 summit next year may be hosted at his National Doral Miami Resort in Florida. The hashtag #TrumpBedBugs is currently trending as people tweet about a 2017 incident where the resort was sued for a bedbug infestation.

During a joint press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron after the G-7 summit, Trump revealed that he’s considering hosting next year’s summit at his National Doral Miami Resort. The Twitterverse immediately seized on the opportunity to speak up about a controversy at the resort: In 2017, it was sued after a business traveler was eaten up by bed bugs.

Reports of the incident resurfaced with the 2020 announcement, and Twitter users are pulling out all the stops to make jokes about it—resulting in the hashtag #TrumpBedBugs to trend Monday afternoon.

I expect Flyertalk to now report on bedbugs at every hotel where they are encountered. Otherwise, Flyertalk is targeting one particularly hotel group because of its political leanings.

What's the purpose of starting the title off with "So"? I don't understand why some people start every other sentence with that word.
